SINGLE REVIEW - EMMA & JOLIE - A MILLION CHRISTMAS TREES

This Friday (3rd December) will see British singer song-writing duo, Emma and Jolie release their debut Christmas single, A Million Christmas Trees.


A Million Christmas Trees starts with an upbeat festive instrumental which I have to admit sets the tone of the song perfectly.
The first verse sees Emma's vocal at the forefront displaying this wonderfully soft soulful tone with lyrics of meaning that allow us listeners to hear a few magical moments which got me in the mood for Christmas (I am the least Christmassy person!). A Million Christmas Trees takes you on a journey that sees the song beautifully link to the chorus. The journey is one that I really caught myself appreciating, and its amazing as we get older we start to appreciate time with our families.
The chorus features Emma and Jolie's vocals working in perfect harmony allowing for their vocal tones to shine through. There is something so incredibly special and who Emma & Jolie are as artists. A Million Christmas Trees features many Christmassy vibes as the song continues to grow and develop as I started to think of my loved ones once again.
The second verse of A Million Christmas Trees continues with Jolie's vocal take the lead seeing a little softer more vulnerable side adding another dynamic to the song allowing me to think about the lovely family Christmas memories, I have created over the past few years.
The more I hear the chorus the more I appreciated the chorus, and the moment that the instrumental came into end A Million Christmas Trees, I caught myself getting emotional once again.

This Friday (11th August)  will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri  release her latest single, Karaoke. Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. The first verses sees Eleri's soft vocal at the forefront with lyrics that get you thinking of those moments at a gig that you don't think you'll ever get to see takes me back to experiencing Priscilla Block with Eleri last year, oh the memories. The second verse sees the song take another turn of when you feel like things aren't working out but you are determined to learn from the lesson it's given you. The chorus features many catchy upbeat lyrics that I could myself singing along with despite not knowing the lyrics 100% typical Kellie. EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
