Good at Getting Over You has a proper upbeat drumming instrumental to start which made me smile right from the very first moment.
The first verse sees Laura's crisp vocal at the forefront with lyrics that has a little sentimental feel about them, but at the same time being on of empowerment especially as the chorus comes in. I love how the listeners can feel the emotion within.
The chorus of Good at Getting Over You features many catchy and upbeat empowerment lyrics throughout that give her many BIG moments. By the end of the first time hearing it, I was ready to sing along the next time thanks to the catchiness that left me wanting more. There is something so magical about Laura's vocal throughout
The second verse of Good at Getting Over You continues with her showcasing her vulnerability of the situation whilst also continuing to be empowering which for me is something that I love - the perfect blend! Laura's softer vocal for the 'oh, oh' is wonderfully timed.
The final verse of Good at Getting Over You is the part of the song that sees Laura's showing off her softer vocal wearing her heart on her sleeve which allows for emotional listening, I have to say this is one of my favourite parts in the song. The bridge ahead of the final verse sees Laura remembering the most beautiful lyrics.
The final chorus ends Good at Getting Over You beautifully showcasing everything that Laura is as an artist.
