Last Friday (23rd October) US singer-songwriter duo, Maddie and Tae released their Christmas EP, We Need Christmas. We Need Christmas features 6 tracks and 2 of which are originals. Maddie and Tae released We Need Christmas via Snakefarm Records here in the UK. This Christmas has a very funky, and jolly feel to start this wonderful Christmas EP off. The first verse sees Maddie's festive sounding vocals at the forefront of the song which I love as it has this softer warm feel. I adore Maddie and Tae's harmonies throughout This Christmas as it allows the listening to hear this wonderfully upbeat feel to the song. As the second verse kicks in Maddie and Tae take the lead together allowing the jolly lyrics shine through which is just beautiful listening. The instrumental throughout is just beautiful bringing the song to live so much. The final verse of This Christmas is a little softer allowing this super sentimental feel to the song come across. SINGLE REVIEW - POPPY FARDELL - HOMETOWN HERO

Tomorrow (Friday 30th October) will see British singer-songwriter,  Poppy Fardell release her latest single, Hometown Hero. Hometown Hero  starts with a piano instrumental which gives the song this most wonderful start even though at times it can give off this sadness at times. The first verse sees Poppy's soft vocals at the forefront allowing the lyrics to deliver the message wonderfully clearly, and one of purity complimented beautifully by the piano instrumental which is stunning throughout. The chorus has many wonderful lyrics that get you thinking right from the very first moment the lyrics kick in and wow, I got emotional. Poppy's vocal range changed to this little higher vocal which I loved and it was brilliantly placed. The journey within the lyrics is beautiful, and standout thanks to its emotionalness! The second verse continues Hometown Hero beautifully as the story continues with this real empowerment about the song which was needed in a way that I wasn't exp...

The chorus features some incredibly beautiful lyrics that I couldn't help but want to sing along with as they are so beautifully written. The chorus blends every single part of this story together wonderfully. The second verse of Redwood Tree is brilliant as the lyrics continue the story within the lyrics wonderfully with Cam's vocals still remaining a little softer allowing the vulnerability of the song to shine through. The final verse of Redwood Tree is one of pure...

HOLLYOAKS TURNS 25! - HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOLLYOAKS

This week sees Hollyoaks turn 25 years old on Friday (23rd October) as it arrived on our screens on Channel 4 in 1995. I remember the very first episode of Hollyoaks, I watched when I turned on channel 4 on by accident but I was glued to the TV for those 30 minutes as a 6/7 year old (can't remember the characters through but I am sure one of the families in the episode was the Cunningham's and of course, Tony was involved). It wasn't until 2003 that I started watching Hollyoaks regularly as a 10 year old having a TV in my room it was exciting (I loved my TV, and watching the soaps every evening). One of the very first families, I return loving where the Hunter's because they remembered me of my friends family with a mum, dad, 2 brothers, and a sister - everything about this families dynamic was so interesting to watch because you never knew what was next for them which was what make it gripping viewing for me. Another family, I loved wa...

The chorus features some incredibly special, and heartfelt lyrics which I can't help but feel are poignant especially with everything going on this year. The second verse continues the pattern of the Christmas tune beautifully as the vocals continue to get more emotional and heartfelt as...

Today (Friday 2nd October) will see US newcomer singer-songwriter,  Kylie Morgan release her brand new single, Cuss A Single. Cuss A Little  a duet with Walker Hayes starts with a sweet and softly toned instrumental which I just adore opening the song up wonderfully. Their vocals together are just perfect with the lyrics combined - I am in awe of these two and their talent! I adore the empowering lyrics, and the heartfelt lyrics that happen to make an appearance.
