SINGLE REVIEW - GABBY BARRETT - HALL OF FAME

Today (Friday 10th January) will see US singer-songwriter, Gabby Barrett release her brand new single, Hall of Fame which I have to admit is one wonderfully catchy song.
Gabby is one artist I am very excited about seeing in March whilst she is in the UK for C2C.

Hall of Fame has a guitar instrumental to start which gives the song a wonderful start before the first verse kicks in. The first verse is one about a relationship and having that one special person in your life who is your safety net but also the love of your life and there is something so endearing about these lyrics. The chorus is the part of the song which is so beautifully honest and written from the heart about her husband, Cade. The lyrics are ones that a so special to Gabby and ones that will resonate with many other listeners about love. Gabby's vocal tone within this part of the song is a little emotional allowing her to demonstrate what an amazing artist she really is!
The second verse continues the story wonderfully about the next chapter of their love and for me it reminded me of American Idol and the moment they first saw each other on the stage in the spotlight and even what they do now for jobs my heart is so happy, Gabby turned this words into lyrics then into a song. The final verse of Hall of Fame is the part of the song which connected with me most because I could feel every single word being sung.
Hall of Fame ends with the chorus which ends the song in the most beautifully incredible way allowing the listeners to get to know who Gabby is as an artist which left me speechless.

This Friday (11th August)  will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri  release her latest single, Karaoke. Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. The first verses sees Eleri's soft vocal at the forefront with lyrics that get you thinking of those moments at a gig that you don't think you'll ever get to see takes me back to experiencing Priscilla Block with Eleri last year, oh the memories. The second verse sees the song take another turn of when you feel like things aren't working out but you are determined to learn from the lesson it's given you. The chorus features many catchy upbeat lyrics that I could myself singing along with despite not knowing the lyrics 100% typical Kellie. EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
