*INTERVIEW* RHIANNON PAIGE AS WE SPEAK ABOUT HER LATEST SINGLE AND HER C2C EXPERIENCE

This week's interview is with singer-songwriter, Rhiannon Paige who in 2026 has performed at C2C and continued to release music with her latest being Live Like It's The 80's.

Hello Rhiannon. Before we go any further could I please ask you to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hi my name is Rhiannon Paige and I am a Country Pop/ Rock artist from Bristol. I began my journey in 2021 when I released my first single, HonkyTonk. I have been performing live for many years before, in pubs and busking the streets in Brighton where I went for uni. I am now an EP and 11 singles into my career and performing at some of the biggest and coolest venues/ festivals.

You released your latest single, Live Like It's The 80's at the end of April, what has the response been like to the single?
The response has been so lovely. I have been able to hear peoples stories from the 80s which has made me wish I lived through the era even more! I posted a clip to my social media ‘come and learn how to ride an 80's chopper with me’ and the comments have been hilarious with the 80s kids relaying their experiences trying to ride one. Everyone agreed they weren't easy to ride which made me feel a lot better. Everyone has been so supportive, and saying I hit the nail on the head with how I perceived the 80s to be. It's been a nostalgic time for them which has been amazing.

If you don't mind are we able to talk about your C2C experience back in March?
Absolutely, C2C was such a surreal experience. It's been on my bucket list for the longest time and I still can't quite believe I was asked to perform.

How did you find your first experience of performing at the festival? How did you find the audiences? That weekend is always insane, and in a good way.
t was amazing! It's an extremely tiring weekend, I think I slept for 15 hours after. But it was tiring in the best way. I have loved country music from before it was deemed as ‘cool’. But to see the love for country music now, it’s genuinely the most heart warming thing to experience. Being in an environment where you feel seen and loved is just amazing. From the outfits, to the artists, to the audience it was just
incredible.

I love asking artists who perform at festivals, what was your highlight?
I would have to say my performance on the Round Up stage. I was following a guy who had 100k followers on instagram, and I was so nervous that everyone would leave. That people wouldn't stick around for a UK county artist, as I'd heard things online about people not loving the idea of UK acts playing the festival. But I was so wrong. The crowd grew even more, the amount of people who came to watch, and they all stayed for the entire set. It was honestly unreal. I have never felt so much love in a room before and I just couldn't have been more grateful to have that experience and to the crowd for making that possible.

Finally on the C2C topic, how would you sum up your experience in ONE word?
EPIC!

How do you sum up your music in 3 words?
Honest, Raw, Powerful.

With us being 6 months into 2026, what are you hoping to achieve before the year is out?
I have lots of exciting festivals and for the rest of the year. I also have some more new music that I'm hoping to drop in the next few months. But 2027 there is something VERY exciting to come. But I would love for 2026, to keep growing my fan base and just enjoying every second.

Quick Fire Questions

Easiest song to write? The Story Is Mine - it just came out of me in half an hour.
Hardest song to write? I have a new unreleased song I have written about my Dad. It was hard because It came from so deep within and I wanted to make sure I had said everything I needed to say in a 4 minute song.
Favourite song you have ever written or heard? I loved writing Live Like it’s the 80s as it was super fun to write and learn about all things 80s.
Do you prefer happy or sad songs?  I write a lot more happy songs than sad but I am a sucker for sad songs. I always listen to sad songs.
Favourite part of the song to write? The chorus of the story is mine as I personally think it flows so well and makes so much sense.
Thank you very much for your time. It's been fantastic chatting with you, Rhiannon.
