*OPINION* WHY STEPH MILLIGAN ARRIVAL IS AN INTERESTING DEVELOPMENT OF THE MILLIGAN FAMILY
The moment Steph Milligan arrived on the Yorkshire based soap, Emmerdale. Viewers to the show have seen Steph determined to get her inheritance from her grandma as well as viewers realising how fractured her relationship is with her parents, Caleb and Ruby Milligan.
The way that Steph Milligan was introduced to us viewers during Friday 15th November's episode as her father, Caleb was seen trapped by Jai Sharma was interesting as from the beginning you could see that Steph is a character not to be messed with you could see had a tough upbringing.
With Caleb desperately wanting to save his relationship with his daughter, however, Ruby Milligan's reaction got me thinking that something isn't as it seems with viewers seeing that there were some issues during her childhood that led to their relationship becoming fractured making the backstory for the Milligan's super interesting to see play out going forward.
As Caleb opened up to his sister, Chas Dingle about what happened and you could see how sorry he was as Steph opened up to her mum about her childhood in some emotional scenes which continued for a past few weeks. Steph's arrival has made for some fantastic scenes.

With Ruby's father having arrived in Tuesday's 19th November's episode, I realised that there is definitely a lot more to this family than we know. These are the storylines/ moments I really enjoy in a soap.
Please can Emmerdale keep Steph and Ross Barton together as weirdly it's one relationship that shouldn't work but does and it's been interesting to see develop as I think both characters care for one another.
However, it was over the New Year episodes that you see Ruby confide in Chas Dingle which was something I didn't expect, however, I really enjoyed as you could see how much Chas just wants to support her with what she is going through. I have to admit, I am excited to see the reveal when it happens as it will explain about the families dynamics.
Georgia Jay, you are a brilliant addition to the show and I can't wait to discover more about Steph and why she is the way she is. There is drama coming!
Emmerdale airs Monday - Friday at 7.30pm on ITV1 with an hour long episode of Thursday's.
Episodes are also on ITVX from 7am.
