Kameron's sophomore album opens with  911 which has an upbeat instrumental with the fun being a fun one alongside many 911 moments you would expect from the title allowing for some great storytelling, but you can't help but sing along with the catchy chorus. Nothin' Slowing Us Down  features a wonderfully soft vocal from Kameron with some heartfelt storytelling to shine through allowing for the listeners to get a little honesty, whilst hearing him talk about his relationship. On My Way Out  sees Kameron's crisp tone mixed with heartfelt lyrics allowing for many brilliant moments demonstrating a lot of growth through the journey of life especially within the second verse which saw me become emotional due to Kameron's vulnerability. Never Really Know  is a beautifully crafted song with a soft instr...

HOLLYOAKS HAS BEEN HARD-HITTING THIS WEEK

Image
Over the past few weeks, Hollyoaks has become my go to soap and even with all these changes being reported due to cast leaving both on screen as well as people behind the scenes as the show is changing from 5 episodes a week to just 3 in September 2024. Over the years, Hollyoaks have delivered some of the best hard-hitting storylines which have educated a lot of viewers. You only have to look on social media to see this as well as getting viewers talking and telling their loved ones of their own problems following the previous two weeks. However, in reality it's not always that easy which is OK as everyone's journey is different and Hollyoaks are great at highlighting this! Photo Credit: Lime Pictures/ Hollyoaks There is one storyline at the moment which is breaking me as I am watching and is one of the most hard-hitting storylines I have seen since Hannah Ashworth's anorexia back in 2010 which involves Frankie Osborne's abuse storyline which has seen Isabelle Smith and...

JACOB ROBERTS CAST AS BERNIE'S SON IN CORONATION STREET

Image
During tonight's Coronation Street episode (13th May), viewers saw Jacob Roberts who played Damon Kinsella in Hollyoaks for 6 years made his first appearance as Bernie Winter's long lost son who she has been trying to track down. Having given up her son almost 30 years ago, viewers saw tonight, Bernie continued her search for her long lost son as she tracked down a man called Christopher Green who changed his name. However, Bernie was left disappointed when he denied being the person she was looking for. However, in a shock twist Christopher took out a jade elephant toy - exactly like the one Bernie told Dev she'd bought for her son.  This was a twist, I really enjoyed watching and I am glad to have Jacob back on my screen after enjoying his work on Hollyoaks. Speaking of joining Coronation Street, Jacob said:  “It’s absolutely amazing to be joining the cast of Coronation Street. When I walked on set for the first time it felt a bit overwhelming because the attention to d...

SINGLE REVIEW - KYLIE MORGAN - SCRATCHING THE SURFACE (MAMA'S SONG)

Image
Yesterday (Friday 10th May), US singer-songwriter,  Kylie Morgan  release her latest single, Scratching The Surface written about her mama. Photo Credit: Rachel Deeb I remember hearing  Scratching The Surface on instagram and absolutely loving it, so I am thrilled Kylie is releasing this single. The verses are filled with such love for her mum who has been there through every single step of her journey allowing for her to grow into the wonderful person we have the opportunity to know these days. The perspective that Kylie writes the song in is moving and in a way that left me looking back at the relationship I have with my mum. The chorus is filled with so much love and a mother/ daughter bond if you are lucky enough to have one. It's filled with such warmth and gratitude. The journey that Scratching The Surface takes you all in the second verse talking about her mum's journey with her makes for a emotional listen. The third verse is the appreciation verse which is the on...

SINGLE REVIEW - TIGIRLILY GOLD - LEROY

Image
Today (Friday 10th May),  Tigirlily Gold  made up of sisters, Kendra and Krista release their brand new single, Leroy. Photo Credit: Jared Olson Leroy  begins with a beautiful upbeat instrumental complimenting Kendra and Krista's vocal tones throughout - their harmonies are stunning. Leroy begins with Kendra asking a lot of questions about Leroy or who Leroy could be in such a sassy way - did you meet him in a bar? Is he a friend of your ex, or is he someone your friend is going out with? The chorus is a sassy one from Kendra and Krista with the lyrics about needing to call Leroy to help them escape, but it's obvious they don't listen to anything you say or are they talking about their previous relationship? The perfect song inspiration. The second verse continues with the break-up and how you didn't want to call them, but you know you probably will. I love how the bridge is slow and allows for the ladies gorgeous tones to shine. I enjoyed the final chorus as it took...

SINGLE REVIEW - DANNY McMAHON - BACK ROADS

Image
Today (Friday 10th May) British singer-songwriter,  Danny McMahon  releases his brand new single, Back Roads. Back Roads is a duet featuring the brilliant, Kelsey Bovey as well as being written by Kelsey along with fellow British Country writer, Lauren Campbell. Photo Credit:  LN Photography - Littleninjaphotography Back Roads  has a guitar instrumental which compliments this country love story. Back Roads is an heartfelt, emotional song that sees Danny's crisp soft vocal compliment Kelsey's vocal brilliantly as she provides backing vocals adding another layer. The chorus is beautiful as it has a really wonderful feel that with Danny and Kelsey's harmonies allow for some stunning vocal delivery. Kelsey opens the second verse with a different perspective/ point of view, which led me to take a different meaning as the chorus came back around. The bridge featured Danny's typical crisp vocal which is something I really enjoyed especially as Back Roads come to its end I l...

EP REVIEW - LILY ROSE - RUNNIN' OUTTA TIME

Image
Tomorrow (Friday 10th May), Rising Country artist,  Lily Rose  releases her brand new EP, Runnin' Outta Time made up of 6 tracks all of which Lily Rose co-wrote. Back in March, Lily Rose played C2C Festival at London's O2 Arena on the spotlight stage as well as apart of the spotlight stage in Glasgow and Belfast. The Goal  is a song filled with brilliant lyrics and great storytelling opening up this EP brilliantly. One thing I really enjoyed was the different interpretations throughout allowing for many different meaning to shine through. The chorus is a heartfelt one remembering our families whilst reminding us how precious they are and how is a spilt second our family and goals change and sometimes emotionally which is shown throughout her tone. WOW, the powerful moments, however, it was the final verse that caught me off guard. Back Pew  is one of my favourite songs especially after hearing it during C2C in March with incredibly emotive lyrics. All three vers...

ALBUM REVIEW - SCOTTY McCREERY - RISE AND FALL

Image
This Friday (10th May), American singer-songwriter,  Scotty McCreery  releases his brand new album, Rise and Fall which is made up of  13 tracks. Rise and Fall begins with  Little More Gone  which begins with an upbeat instrumental allowing for Scotty to open the first verse with his rocky tone which is very different to what I expected, but something I loved as it allowed for the songwriting to come through especially heading into the chorus. The chorus is filled with some extremely catchy lyrics heading into the second verse brilliantly. This song reminds me of Scotty during his time on American Idol and the reason why I started following his career in the first place. Cab In A Solo  was the perfect song to kick off this new era of Scotty McCreery music. The soft instrumental is good throughout as it supports all of it's lyrics. The first verse is a little emotional as it talks about a relationship that isn't working out the way you hope/ had hoped to wan...

Image
Today (Friday 3rd May), American country singer-songwriter,  Kameron Marlowe  releases his brand new single, On My Way Out. Photo Credit: David McClister The piano instrumental that begins  On My Way Out   is brilliant as it goes into the first verse wonderfully with Kameron's crisp tone that allows for heartfelt lyrical moments that demonstrates a lot of growth filled with those some of his favourite things. The chorus features some stunning songwriting that broke me as I was listening allowing for wonderful moments for Kameron to be shown. Kameron's makes this song his own for his loved ones making it even more beautiful. I love how the second verse continues On My Way Out with the some level of heartfelt moments that broke me in the first verse allows for the story to develop and grow into a journey of life. The bridge ahead of the final chorus was in a softer tone allowing for a wow moment as it showed the vulnerability side of Kameron to shine through before the...

SINGLE REVIEW - MEGAN MORONEY - INDIFFERENT

Today (Friday 3rd May), American singer-songwriter,  Megan Moroney  releases her brand new single, Indifferent. Indifferent is a from Megan's sophomore album, Am I Okay? being released on Friday 12th July which was only announced yesterday (Thursday 2nd May). Photo Credit: Cece Dawson The first verse of  Indifferent  begins with Megan's crisp tone at the forefront allowing for a lot of vulnerability to be shown. You can hear a lot of her hurt which happened during the relationship break up allowing us listeners to realise a lot happened during their time together eg. a lot of hurt. The chorus continues to feature the heartbreak of the relationship and how you wish that person the best, but also wanting to move on myself. I love the sassiness from Megan as you can really hear how brilliant of a songwriter she is! The second verse is the part of the song where you try and move on, but still remember every single little detail. You get a mix of emotion as your ex for th...

ALBUM REVIEW - TENILLE ARTS - TO BE HONEST

Image
Tomorrow (Friday 3rd May), Canadian singer-songwriter,  Tenille Arts  releases her brand new album, to be honest which is made up of 14 songs of which 2 are duets. There is something so special about  To Be Honest  and the lyrics are filled with so much honesty, I caught myself getting emotional over as someone who has recently made a massive change in her way it's a song that comes with change! The song I never knew I needed to hear. So Do I  is a song with lyrics that are heartfelt and tell a heart-wrenching story with many powerful moments with elements that the song could be from a movie soundtrack. I love the fact that Demi Lovato wrote this song and allowed Tenille to share it. Wonder Woman  reminded me of why I loved Tenille's music in the first place with her soulful vocal that take you on a journey especially within the chorus. I really liked the fact that it wasn't the kind of song that I had imagined as it is about all those moments we wonder as ...
