You can read my review of Blonde here.

Krista and Kendra, lovely to be chatting with you both again, how are you?
We are doing so well! This year has been so incredible already! It’s good to hear from you again!

How are you feeling about the world hearing this EP?
We are so thrilled for the world to hear this EP. We spent over a year writing & recording it, and we truly feel that this is our best work yet!

Blonde is made up of 4 tracks, how did you decide on them?
This EP is the first teaser of a record that is coming later on, so when choosing the first four songs to showcase, we wanted to show our fun, energetic side with “Shoot Tequila,” “Blonde,” & “Move On” while still showing a little bit more serious side with “Hometown Song.”

What was the process like from writing to recording them?
We really got into a groove of writing songs for this specific record, making sure we were hitting every angle of who we are as artists and as people. Two of our favorite creators, Alex Kline & Pete Good turned into producers for this record as well because we were writing so many great songs with them. So A LOT of collaboration! We also tested most of the songs out live before recording and would tweak the arrangements every time we stepped out onto the stage before heading into the studio.

What are you favourite lyrics featured in each song?
Kendra: Ahhh, so many, but I love “Swear to God I won’t drink tequila no more, but mama didn’t raise no quitter.” It’s just so much fun & the crowd always hoots & hollers during that specific part. I also love “All grown up in Tennessee, thousand miles from yearbook me, but she still follows me wherever I go” from “Hometown Song.”
Krista: I’ll choose my favorite lyrics from “Blonde” and “Move On” since Kendra covered the other two and I’d have to agree with her! ;) “Blonde”:“We might get a bad reputation for acting like life’s a vacation, all that I’m saying is don’t knock it til you DYE it just once” “Move On”: the very first line. “Patience has never been my virtue. And small talk ain’t something that I’m into.” Love how bold and forward it is.

Thank you for taking us on a journey with this EP. I have to ask you about Hometown Song which is an extremely personal song for many people, including myself and I would love to know how you came up with writing the song and why you decided to give a nod to your hometown?
We’ve written so many songs about our hometown, and none of them felt quite right. “Hometown Song” is really written as almost a letter to our hometown, reflecting on all the good that town brought us, but also some of the bittersweet memories it gave us as well. It’s that conflicting feeling of knowing we always wanted to leave to chase our dream, but knowing there’s nothing that can replace the feeling of home.

How would you sum up Blonde in 3 words for anyone wanting to check your EP out?
Girl-group-energy, confident, bold!

I had the pleasure of interviewing you face-to-face back at C2C in March, how did you find that experience? It's safe to say that all the songs you played were incredible, and went down with the audience so well.
Our first C2C experience was absolutely incredible. The way the fans showed up & sang our songs was unlike anything we had ever experienced before, and we cannot wait to come back already! They are so in tune with each lyric and really care about the stories behind each song.

Last month, you performed her debut Grand Ole Opry show, how was that for you both? Surreal not doubt with it being 10 years since you last went there.
Making our Grand Ole Opry debut was pretty surreal. Stepping into the circle together as sisters was a moment we will never forget!! You think about all the legends of country music who have paved the way for us to be there, and it was extremely emotional. Lots of validation that every low leading up to that moment was worth it.
Thank you so much for your time, it's always a pleasure to chat with you both!
