WHY THIS WEEK'S EMMERDALE EPISODES WERE EMOTIONAL ONES FOR AMELIA SPENCER AS DAISY CAMPBELL SHONE

During this week's episodes of Emmerdale, Daisy Campbell aka Amelia Spencer has really stood out.

We all know that Amelia has been through a lot in her life from the loss of her mum, Ali, and Ali's partner, Ruby along with her aunt, Rachel Breckle. Amelia's struggled over the past few weeks leading her make some choices that aren't for the best including her stealing Gabby Thomas post with visiting orders from Noah Dingle in, and going to visit him.

However, it was during last Thursday's episode (21st July), viewers discover that Amelia was pregnant, but in last night's episode (27th July) alongside with tonight's (28th July), we really saw Daisy Campbell show us all what a brilliant young actress she is!

It all started on Monday with Amelia opening up to Dan Spencer after being caught sneaking into Home Farm leaving Kim Tate unimpressed. However, it was the final scene of the evening that saw Amelia call to book an appointment for an abortion in an emotional moment. There was so much vulnerability shown that continued throughout the week.

With Amelia continuing to keep her secret from Dan, it was Dan who told Charity Dingle about her visiting Noah. Amelia was quickly visited by Charity as she wanted answers which led to her knowing about Noah's release in a few days. Thank god for Noah being there for Amelia when she needed a friend upon his release.

It was during the doctor's appointments throughout the week which saw Amelia open up and be faced with some difficult questions. It was in these scenes that us viewers show some fantastic emotional scenes from Daisy Campbell especially as Amelia learnt how far along she was. Another thing, I really wish they used but I understand why they didn't was the fact that Kerry Wyatt could have been there for her.

The most powerful scene for me this week came between Amelia and Charity outside the doctors as well as the one at the start of Wednesday's episode - the dialogue was beautifully written allowing for even more vulnerability from the characters to be demonstrated. Charity was seen reflecting on her life allowing for Charity to be the perfect friend for Amelia. However, it was in tonight's episode that saw Amelia set on keeping her baby after a conversation with Noah.

It's the array of emotions that Amelia has to portray which shows to us viewers how wonderful Daisy really is for example in that scene with Emma Atkins outside the clinic, my heart sunk as she opened up about her characters pregnancy.

Thursday's episode saw Charity tell Mackenzie about Amelia, it was Charity's reaction that got me with Mackenzie speaking the truth. As Amelia thought about everything, when she only has to do what is right for her! As Amelia continued to struggle, Charity blurted out about the pregnancy as Noah said it can't be his as Amelia stormed out. Amelia being petrified is understandable, love the way that Charity continued to support her.

Emma Atkins and Daisy Campbell have been brilliant, and the way that their characters have supported each other were great, showing many different emotions that us viewers wouldn't usually see.

I can definitely see Daisy winning awards.

These episodes of Emmerdale aired between Monday 25th - Thursday 28th July on ITV at 7.30pm with an hour episode on Thursday 28th July.
