WHY SANDRA FLAHERTY'S RETURN TO EMMERDALE IS AN INTERESTING ONE

Why the return of Sandra Flaherty to Emmerdale is an interesting one as us viewers learnt that she is using her daughter, Liv Dingle.

Ever since her return during Friday 8th July's episode as Liv was being supported by her husband, Vinny over the devastating news about Faith Dingle which hit her hard. I felt super emotional.

When Sandra wanted to see photos of her daughter's wedding day as she bought up not being there, you could see so much hurt in Liv's eyes, I felt for her! The way Liv listened to her mums issues. Yes, with the home truths from Vinny - he just wants to protect Liv.

The waterworks from Sandra, oh my Vinny's face said it all. You weren't even there for your own daughter when she needed you the most! Vinny the protective husband!

One thing I really enjoyed about last week's episode was the fact they returned Liv and Gabby Thomas friendship - lovely to see Isobel Steele and Rosie Bentham share a scene again!

I get that Liv feels bad but she has to remember she can't help her mum if she won't help herself!

The end of last week saw Liv agree to let Sandra stay, but Vinny overheard Sandra on the phone. However at the start of this week, Chas was little suspicious over Sandra. Vinny bring super protective of Liv was rather sweet leading to her opening up. I'm still suspicious. Liv's harsh words are needed!

Liv and Vinny were on tender hooks that was till Terry arrived at The Mill. Vinny was shocked as Liv agreed to help her mum giving Terry the money, Sandra was thrilled however, seeing Terry giving Sandra the money I'm done - Liv, please open your eyes! I just really hope Liv realises before it's too late!

It was Wednesday's episode that got me shouting at the TV. Sandra do you ever think of anyone but yourself? Liv doesn't deserve you doing this to her!

Thursday's episode saw Liv help Sandra find a job - it was Sandra's eye movement that got me. When Vinny told Mandy about Sandra staying with them, but Mandy walking out said a lot, she only wants what's best for her son and Liv! Liked how Mandy checked in with Liv regarding her mum getting a job, but it was Sandra's excuses that frustrated me, thank god for Mandy offer help but the way Sandra looked at Mandy - look out, Mandy!

In tonight's episode (15th July), it was Sandra's her first day, Bernice is so me with her reaction. The comedy from Bernice, love it. Sandra is definitely up to no good - oh wait, she took money! Mandy, please open your eyes.

However the way that Joanne Mitchell and Isobel Steele work together is fantastic, and shows how great they are as actresses!

These episodes of Emmerdale aired between Monday 11th - Friday 15th July on ITV at 7.30pm with an hour episode on Thursday 14th July.
