SINGLE REVIEW - KELSEY LAMB - HEARTBREAK AWAY

Today (Friday 29th July) will see US singer-songwriter, Kelsey Lamb release her brand new single, Heartbreak Away.

Heartbreak Away starts with a guitar instrumental which also has a dreamy feel which complimented the lyrics beautifully.
The first verse sees Kelsey's soft vocal tones allow for the lyrics to shine through right from the start with some brilliant attention to detail being shown throughout. I really appreciate the honesty and vulnerability that is shared from Kelsey as it makes the song even more relatable for many listeners.
The chorus features the most beautiful, yet heartfelt lyrics that had me feeling emotional for so many reasons, I honestly think that they song is my favourite from Kelsey. The lyrics tell a gorgeous story of about how your one and only will be the one that stops you feeling lonely and like your heart is breaking.
The second verse sees Heartbreak Away continuing with the honesty that sees you realise that your one is out there, and that all you are feeling will disappear. The lyrics are ones that I caught myself listening to extremely closely - wow they are powerful especially as the chorus comes in.
The instrumental ahead of the bridge is beautifully simple adding so much to the song that I never knew I needed.
As the final verse kicks in the more, I feel that the song makes full circle with such gratitude.

This Friday (11th August)  will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri  release her latest single, Karaoke. Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. The second verse sees the song take another turn of when you feel like things aren't working out but you are determined to learn from the lesson it's given you. EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
