SINGLE REVIEW - VICKI MANSER - FLY

This Friday (27th May) will see British singer-songwriter and musical theatre star, Vicki Manser release her brand new single, Fly.

Vicki is currently starring in Rock of Ages UK Tour.


Fly starts with a summery feel thanks to the guitar instrumental which is very raw and honest right from the start.
The first verse sees Vicki's soft crisp vocal at the forefront allowing for some beautiful poignant lyrics allowing for many emotional moments. Vicki definitely wears her heart on her sleeve with the lyrics. The honesty alongside the vulnerability from Vicki are perfectly timed.
The chorus feature a fun loving, sassy side from Vicki and one I have a feeling many listeners will be able to relate with. The fun loving side of Vicki is something I adore!
The second verse has many fun, upbeat lyrics that see Vicki letting us listeners into her life through this song, and how our lives are our own as we have to do what is right for us in those moments - we are the only ones that matter! BE YOU! Sometimes the risks are worth taking.
The more I hear the chorus, the more I love and appreciate the lyrics along with the fun and upbeat tempo.
The way that Fly ends with the chorus brings the song full circle.

There is something so incredibly raw and pure about who Vicki is as an artist!

This Friday (11th August)  will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri  release her latest single, Karaoke. Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. The first verses sees Eleri's soft vocal at the forefront with lyrics that get you thinking of those moments at a gig that you don't think you'll ever get to see takes me back to experiencing Priscilla Block with Eleri last year, oh the memories. The second verse sees the song take another turn of when you feel like things aren't working out but you are determined to learn from the lesson it's given you. EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
