EASTENDERS EPISODE REVIEW - FRIDAY 24TH JANUARY - LOUISE MITCHELL LEAVES WALFORD!

In tonight's episode, viewers saw a rather emotional episode (for a good and bad reason) especially if you are a fan of Ben Mitchell and Callum Highway aka BALLUM like me. However, tonight's episode saw Louise Mitchell and Lisa Fowler leave Walford for their new lives in Portugal with Phil Mitchell also going. Friday's episode was written by Richard Davidson and directed by Chris McGill . In the first scene of the episode featuring Louise Mitchell and Lisa Fowler was when Ben and Phil Mitchell were sat talking altogether around the table in the kitchen as they were all seen talking about their move to Portugal as Louise was determined for her mum to be on her side with the move. Love that Louise said that she had a choice to being involved in the whole Keanu Taylor situation over Christmas. I love The Mitchell family and it's had me realise how much I will miss their scenes when he no longer have them. In the next scene, Ben and Callum Highway were s...

SINGLE REVIEW - FRANKIE DAVIES - ASKING FOR A FRIEND

Tomorrow (Friday 24th January) will see Jersey-born singer-songwriter, Frankie Davies release her brand new single, Asking For A Friend. Asking For A Friend starts with gorgeous guitar instrumental which is just stunning and gives off many happy vibes. I love the honesty of this song right from the start and having heard this song live a few times, I couldn't help but sing along right from the start. Frankie's crisp vocals, I have to admit gives the song so much vulnerable and honesty, making me feel a little emotional. The chorus is one of my favourite parts of the songs thanks to the catchiness of the lyrics and melody. The questions asked within the chorus got me thinking and relatable realising that the way I am feeling at the moment is ok and all the questions we have are ok to have and be asking. The second verse continues Asking For A Friend in the most beautiful and relatable way if I have ever heard one giving me goosebumps. The bridge of Asking For A Friend for...

GIG REVIEW - SARAH WATSON - O2 ACADEMY, ISLINGTON

Image
On Saturday (18th January), I had the opportunity to go to Loud In London Presents at The O2 Academy, Islington and the opening act for the evening was Sarah Watson . Photo Taken by Me Sarah started the wonderful evening off with So Damn Done in the most fabulous way with her super rocky, meaningful lyrics which Sarah continued with the next 2 songs - Try Anything and Your Truth along with the catchiness of the lyrics and Sarah's incredible song-writing definitely showed through on Saturday. It amazed me how last night was Sarah's first gig with her full band. The third song was called Naïve which was written in Nashville and one that showcased her vulnerability as the audience listened. I was absolutely blown away by Sarah's vocals and I caught myself a times with tears in my eyes. My WOW moment of the whole evening. You Did It is a song about memories you created with that certain person but they are your memories also. You Did It...

ALBUM REVIEW - DUSTIN LYNCH - TULLAHOMA

Tomorrow (Friday 17th January) will see US singer-songwriter, Dustin Lynch release his brand new album, Tullahoma. Tullahoma is made up of 11 songs. Momma's House starts with an guitar instrumental which I love giving the listeners a real feel for the album and what's coming. The first verse features a real husky voice from Dustin which I absolutely adore giving you a proper country feel for the song within the first couple of lines. The chorus is one of my favourite parts of the song as it allows the listeners to get a proper feel for the song giving everyone the chance to listen to the songwriter in Dustin. The heartfelt lyrics are ones that got me a little emotional at times. The second verse continues the storytelling within the song in such a wonderful way as it's the part of the song about that time in a relationship where you took your girl/ boy out giving you a real proper feel for the song which I adored. I adored the softer vocal range from Dustin on the final...

SINGLE REVIEW - GABBY BARRETT - HALL OF FAME

Today (Friday 10th January) will see US singer-songwriter,  Gabby Barrett release her brand new single, Hall of Fame which I have to admit is one wonderfully catchy song. Gabby is one artist I am very excited about seeing in March whilst she is in the UK for C2C. Hall of Fame has a guitar instrumental to start which gives the song a wonderful start before the first verse kicks in. The first verse is one about a relationship and having that one special person in your life who is your safety net but also the love of your life and there is something so endearing about these lyrics. The chorus is the part of the song which is so beautifully honest and written from the heart about her husband, Cade. The lyrics are ones that a so special to Gabby and ones that will resonate with many other listeners about love. Gabby's vocal tone within this part of the song is a little emotional allowing her to demonstrate what an amazing artist she really is! The sec...

ALBUM REVIEW - TENILLE ARTS - LOVE, HEARTBREAK, & EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN

This Friday (10th January) will see Canadian singer-songwriter,  Tenille Arts release her latest album, Love, Heartbreak, & Everything in Between. Love, Heartbreak, & Everything in Between features 12 songs all of which were written by Tenille along with some being co-written too. Somebody Like That starts with a guitar instrumental giving off wonderful country vibes from the very start of the song which I absoultely adore! The first verse instantly showcases Tenille's incredible vocal range with her softer and emotional tones throughout, her incredible song-writing ability especially with her vulnerability which is just amazing to hear - singers who wear their heart on their sleeves are one in a million. The lyrics throughout Somebody Like That are so honest and written from the heart which you can tell by the way Tenille sings them. The chorus is such a fun and upbeat one that I couldn't help but try and sing ...
