EASTENDERS EPISODE REVIEW - LOUISE MITCHELL LIFE CHANGES...

In last night's EastEnders episode, viewers saw Louise Mitchell go into labour all alone as she went to look for her mum, Lisa Fowler who Louise believes is having a mental breakdown who discovered from Jack Branning that she had actually checked her in.

Back in April, EastEnders viewers discovered that Louise Mitchell was pregnant with then on/ off boyfriend, Keanu Taylor who lets be honest hasn't been entirely with his now fiancée, has he? Because Louise's step-mum Sharon Mitchell is also expecting Keanu's baby - which isn't known to any of the Mitchells however, over recent weeks viewers saw Lisa Fowler blurt out to Phil Mitchell that he isn't the father of Sharon's baby despite her telling him it was his thanks to something deceased Mel Owen said.

Tonight's episode was written by Jonny O'Neill and directed by Laurence Wilson.
In the first scene of the episode, viewers saw parents-to-be, Louise Mitchell and Keanu Taylor about to have the biggest change in their lives leaving Keanu to comfort his fiancée, who has just gone into labour leading to Keanu assuring her that everything is going to be OK. Whilst Louise is seen worrying about her unborn baby's health. I am loving the vulnerability of Louise in this scene like most moments are when this moment happens.

In the next scene, Phil Mitchell was seen confronting his wife, Sharon about what she was doing in the cafe talking to Jack Branning leading to Phil telling her that Lisa is in fact on her meds when she made these accusations.

In the next scene, as Keanu was struggling to get hold of her dad whilst Louise is panicking about the fact she is in labour too early, but the sirens of the ambulance are heard in the background. My god the stress of their situation but I am just glad Keanu is their supporting Louise in her time of need.

However, once alone with his wife, Phil was seen asking Sharon about Lisa's accusations seating down at the kitchen table in the Mitchells to which Sharon was seen to quickly to turn things on to Phil feeling rather guilty and so you should be, you are the one who has caused Louise to worry a little more but letting her continue to believe the worst about her mum and when she is quick to deny everything - I shouted at the telly.

Ben Mitchell, you should have answered your phone! I loved the vulnerability of Ben when he received the text.

In the next scene, upon Phil's arrival at the hospital, Keanu was seen to be by Louise's side as her contractions intensified when her father, Phil chose to walk in to her room and ask how she was, worried about the state of his daughter, as you would be seriously Phil right at that moment! However, all Louise kept asking was for Sharon who currently unable to be got a hold off! In all of this, the nurses where also getting ready for the next stage of labour. But the moment, Phil managed that Ben was on his way, I was laughing at Louise's comment. Like the fact that Keanu hasn't left his fiancée side but I don't like how much hurt and pain he is going to cause Louise upon the news of his affair with Sharon.

OMG! The dialogue tonight is WONDERFUL! Thank you Jonny.

In the next scene, Ben was seen arriving at the hospital after hearing that his sister was in labour to see his father sat outside all alone looking so lost and helpless of his daughter's situation. But I do love how well Phil knows his daughter and that Ben knows his dad. Phil and Ben's heart to heart was something that I really appreciated and viewers really needed to see as these tough men are able to be vulnerable too! Everything about their dialogue was perfect!

In the next scene, in the darkness of the park Sharon was seen to be sitting alone at a bench looking at her phone where she had missed calls from both Phil and Keanu before she made a mystery call. Sharon looks really rattled but Phil's accusations and its starting to take its toll on her.

Back at the hospital, Louise who with Keanu about to give birth to their child whilst Keanu was seen trying to comfort his extremely anxious, and scared fiancé. The worry Louise is feeling is something that got me in that moment of watching. But Keanu's words were ones I really didn't appreciate because of the fact he is about to broke her heart.

Seconds later viewers saw Lisa Fowler welcome Sharon into her room where she was sat on her bed whilst the camera quickly panned over to Phil who was sitting outside on the hospital chairs as Ben arrived by asking if there was any news. Before the camera's then panned back to Lisa and Sharon was are talking about why Lisa is in there and with Lisa saying but I am mad had me shouting you are the only sane one. But the way that Sharon started to open up and be honest I like wow, she does actually have a conscience after all.
I did love the camera angles tonight, Laurence - so thank you!

Back at the hospital, Louise was seen having given birth to their beautiful baby girl where Louise and Keanu were seen rather proudly looking on. The emotions in this scene were ones that got to me. I was too emotional during this episode.

However back in the final scene of tonight's episode, back on Lisa's ward the ladies were continuing their heart-to-heart as Sharon was then seen confessing to Lisa the truth about the whole situation with Mel Owen and what happened in the run up to the crash but when Sharon confessed to her that Keanu is in fact - the father of her baby I was very happy with Sharon being so open and honest with that news! But the fact that Lisa is not going to be able to keep this from her daughter - my heart sank.

Tilly Keeper, you absoultely smashed your scenes this evening and the fact you always put 100% into your work makes all the scenes you do wonderful! I love the characterisation you have made to Louise over the past few years, long may it continue.
And I can't wait for the scenes which are to come over the next few weeks.
