EASTENDERS EPISODE REVIEW - RUBY ALLEN GIVES HER EVIDENCE

Following on from last night's episode, I'd like to welcome you to the second blog in the series of blogs I am going to be writing during Ruby Allen's trial week. At the end of last night's episode we saw Ruby take to the stand ahead of her giving evidence in tonight's episode.

In the second scene of the episode tonight, us viewers were taken back to the court room where we saw Ruby Allen was about to take the stand about being given the book to swear on, ready to give her account for what happened to her on that night in October. Ruby was clearly starting to feel the pressure.

In the next scene back at the court, Ruby was in the stand where she was giving her evidence and the judge started to question her about the night in question as she give her account of what happen. Ruby was still clearly distraught as she was questioned by the judge.

In the following scene moments later, Ruby was still in the stand with judges still questioning her about her career as an event organiser when they chose to bring up her best friend Stacey Fowler about how they rekindled their friendship and what called for her return to the Square and for attending Martin Fowler's school reunion. Luke and Ross watch on.

Moments later, the female judge is still questioning Ruby about her intentions with Matt and Ross on the evening of Martin's school reunion and Ruby soon starts stressing where she is seen to be shouting at the judge in horror. Stacey and Martin are awaiting outside the courtroom before Stacey is called to give her evidence in Ruby's trial.

In the next scene, Stacey had taken to the stand giving her evidence, where she is questioned by the female judge about her friend's kiss with Matt in the club. Stacey sticks up for her friend in the court case. The female judge quickly turns on Stacey in the stand about the word she chose to use for what had happened to her friend. Ruby looks on very worried.

In the final scene of the episode which featured on this trial, Stacey is later seen talking to her best friend Ruby about the fact that she let her down in the moment that she needed to her the most. But it's not long before Ruby realises that her best friend is talking about her ordeal with what happened with Archie all these years ago and regretting her decision not to see them. Stacey is very distraught and Ruby is wanting to be there for her best friend at her time of need.

Tonight's episode has shown us all what an incredible actress Louisa Lytton is and this storyline has raised so much awareness!
Also, I have to give another shout out to Lacey Turner for her wonderful acting within tonight's court scenes.
Another shout out has to go to Matt and Ross' actors Mitchell Hunt and Ossian Luke for their great portrayals during this storyline.
Tonight's EastEnders episode was written by my favourite writers for the show Lauren Klee.
