EASTENDERS EPISODE REVIEW - RUBY ALLEN'S TRIAL VERDICT

Following on from last night's episode which I didn't blog as I got too busy aha, I'd like to welcome you to the final blog in the series of blogs I am going to be writing during Ruby Allen's trial week. Tonight's episode is the one where the verdict is given....
I absolutely loved seeing Ruby and Stacey's supportive friendship back where it was all those years ago and since Ruby's been back and through this case their friendship has developed.

In the first scene of the episode tonight us viewers saw Ruby Allen arrive at the court and look at the trial display where she stood nervously looking at it which I have to admit got me because she's been so strong throughout her ordeal and Louisa Lytton's portrayal has just been wonderful.

In the next scene still in the court, Ruby is seen having a coffee in the private room but her support worker comes in to see if she's OK to which Ruby gave such a brave answer.
Moments later back in the court, and still in the little private room, Ruby's support worker tells her the jury have made their verdict on her case to which Ruby is very worried about and understandable.

Back in the court room, where Ruby happens to be waiting alone, her best friend Stacey Fowler comes to support her and what a lovely moment. Ruby's face when the judge said 'all rise' her heart sink.
Moments later, we are back in the court room as the verdict are about to give their verdict and Ruby's heart is sinking and that's obvious from the start.
Ruby's face on the first guilty verdict, and on the second verdict Ruby smiled a little and Jay Brown being there supporting her obviously meant so much to her.
I AM SO GLAD RUBY GOT THE JUSTICE SHE NEEDED AFTER ALL SHE WANT THOUGH!!

However, as Martin Fowler, Jay, Stacey and Ruby leave the court room after the verdict was given, Ruby needs a few moments to compose herself after what has been a very stressful day for her with everything going off throughout her ordeal.

In the next scene, Ruby arrives back at her flat alone where she sits alone at her dining table before moments later she presses record on her phone to record something before we see Jay, Martin and Stacey in The Vic where they are wondering about Ruby where Stacey checks her phone and sees Ruby's doing a live. Stacey then shows Linda Carter, Jay, Martin and Tina Carter who watch it from the pub in awe of their friend and her braveness during the whole of her ordeal. Stacey watches with a few tears in her eyes.

What a wonderful and beautifully honest monologue they gave to Louisa for Ruby final speech! What an incredible and eye opening storyline this has been for EastEnders to cover.

Moments later in the final episode of the episode and week, Ruby is then seeing sitting alone in silence on a bench in the garden where she is seen contemplating what she's been through and the high angle shots were a perfect way to end the episode.

Tonight's episode has shown us all what an incredible actress Louisa Lytton is and this storyline has raised so much awareness! Another shout out has to go to Matt and Ross' actors Mitchell Hunt and Ossian Luke for their great portrayals during this storyline.
Tonight's EastEnders episode was written by Rob Gittins who is one of my personal favourite writers.
