CORONATION STREET REVIEW: LAUREN'S VERDICT WAS GIVEN AS MANY FUNNY MOMENTS HAPPENED ON THE STREET

This week's Coronation Street episodes have been filled with drama from Lauren Bolton's court verdict being given and Nick Tilsley, Toyah Habeeb and her sister, Leanne Battersby's love triangle that saw the characters to come to an arrangement as well as seeing The Platt's in danger.

Lauren Bolton's Trial began during last Friday's episode (17th January) as an anxious Lauren worried about what was to come as Bobby Crawford and Nina Lucas spent the whole of the trial where her solicitor was brilliant supporting Lauren before continuing in Monday's episode (20th January) which saw Max Turner, Roy Cropper and Dee-Dee Bailey give their statements as the trial bought up Lauren's past before she was allowed the opportunity to share her side of what happened after Brie's outburst. I wish they would give Lauren and Frankie some happiness in between all the hospital scenes. Honestly, Cait Fitton is brilliant in these kind of emotional moments - this young actress deserves a lot more credit than she gets!
It was great to see Carla Connor and Lisa Swain looking out for one another, this is why I am starting to enjoy this pairing.

Wednesday (22nd January) continued with Lauren's trial being delivered with a not guilty verdict being given despite the jury not being able to reach a decision originally. It was great to see Dee-Dee supporting Lauren, I've missed their friendship especially when she told her that she needed to be in court for the verdict whatever happened. However, Gus Deering later decided to visit Lauren at her son Frankie's bedside where she stood up to him - yes Lauren this was very much needed, she really is a strong character.
This episode had some funny moments from Bernie Winter and Jenny Connor along with Daisy Midgeley announced her baby triangle regarding who the father (Daniel Osborne or Kit Green) to a packed out leading to Bethany Platt confront Daniel and storming out The Rovers Return before she was rushed to hospital.

Before ending the week with tonight's episode (24th January) began with David the dog being run over with David and Shona Platt becoming extremely worried about the situation. The fact that Leanne Battersby agreed to sell her part of The Bistro to her ex Nick Tilsley who is now with her sister, Toyah Habeeb in one very laughable situation following her day in court. Have to admit I am really enjoying Leanne and Tracy Barlow's growing friendship.
However the episode saw Lauren and Max declare their love for one another once again following Anthea Deering apologising for her actions.
Max's line of "I'm going no-where" when us viewers know he is leaving.

Coronation Street aired on Monday 20th, Wednesday 22nd, and Friday 24th January at 8pm as well as episodes appearing on ITVX at 7am on the day of airing.
