HOLLYOAKS ENTERS A NEW ERA OF EPISODES WITH A STUNT

With the new era of Hollyoaks starting in my birthday week is brilliant as I always enjoy a Hollyoaks Stunt and this year's was no different.

This week has seen Hollyoaks begin its brand-new schedule of just 3 episodes a week something that it will take time to get used too. The new era kicked off the an action packed set of episodes that have been wonderful to watch especially with all fans able to watch the same episode in the same day.

During last Friday's double bill (6th September), viewers saw Mecredes McQueen agree to help Warren Fox escape prison with the help of Ste Hay, Freddie Roscoe and Grace Black which I have to say I enjoyed seeing these characters mix. Monday's episode (9th September) saw a different title opening with police arriving in the village searching for Warren. A lot of the villagers have different stories. Cleo McQueen is such a vulnerable character who deserves to be protected at all costs. James Nightingale finally opening up to Ste.

Tuesday's episode (10th September), saw the drama continue with Dave helping Cleo escape from Abe. James opening up to Ste was very much needed. You could see the love between them. The Sienna and Ethan heart-to-heart was beautiful, but the moment Dave and Warren came face to face was interesting.
However back in the village, Suzanne Ashworth and JJ Osborne bump into Frankie Osborne and JJ as she confronted her mother - all Frankie needs is her mother's love and belief in her, but during the heated exchange you could see Suzanne breaking down as Jack asks her a simple question leading them to having a chat. The moment that Suzanne saw Frankie through the McQueen window with Sally St Claire as Suzanne came around to speak with her daughter in a turn of events as Suzanne opened up.
The final scene of the episode saw Cleo crash the motorbike she was riding crash into the McQueen's with Frankie, Suzanne, Jack, and Marie inside - the way that Jack looked out for Frankie was great.

In the final episode of the week (11th September) continued with the aftermath of Cleo's bike going through the McQueen as Frankie broke down over her mum lying on the floor, you can see how much she just needed her mum in that moment and is scared of losing her thank you for the vulnerability you allow yourself to dive into, Isabelle Smith. The 'I believe you' moment was needed but of course we knew she wasn't going to make it.

As the word spreads of the accident, The Osbornes rushed to Frankie and Jack with Frankie revealing Suzanne's died and Jack was rushed to hospital, the slow motion was good. JJ getting emotional hearing about Suzanne's death as Charlie comforting Frankie showing how much they each one another, gonna miss these kind of moments when Charlie leaves as Tony delivers the sad news about Jack - Darren's words have me in tears, Ashley delivered them beautiful.
The ending with the explosion - WOW! What an ending.

Isabelle Smith, once again over the past two episodes you have absolutely smashed the raw emotions, you know how to make us viewers feel the sad and happy times this takes a special actor in my opinion, and the amount of praise I have seen for you today for this episode has been fantastic to see, and Ashley Taylor-Dawson the dialogue of Darren's words to his father, Jack was delivered in a wonderful way with such emotion and I really felt it.

Next week we are back in Hollyoaks on Monday 16th September, we are one year ahead and I can't wait!

Hollyoaks airs Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with episodes available at 7am on Channel 4 streaming and can be watched on E4 at 7pm with same day episodes.
