EP REVIEW - TRACK 45 - BIG DREAMS
Today (Friday 26th February) will see Mississippi-born, but Nashville based sibling trio, Track 45 release their latest EP, Big Dreams.
Big Dreams is made up of 5 tracks - 4 originals all written by KK, Ben, and Jenna Johnston with a few co-writers.
"There is something so incredibly special about this trio with their lyrical ability showcasing their incredible talent. Ben, KK, and Jenna have a bright future ahead of them!"
Met Me Now has an upbeat country sounding instrumental. The female vocal that opens the song you could hear this amazing vulnerability in her range that got me really listening to the lyrics thanks to the honesty with the writing. The chorus allows all of the members showcase their incredible vocal range that got me feeling a little emotional, as the lyrics really supported their vocal tones allowing each of the members vocals a moment to shine. The second verse continues Met Me Now with this message of that you will always put the person you love first, and have that respect for one another, all the verses link wonderfully into the chorus allowing the song to shine wonderfully. The final verse of Met Me Now sees a little softer vocal tone shown from this trio. Met Me Now ending with the chorus brings the song full circle.
Little Bit More sees a soft vocal start the song off with a soft instrumental which compliments the tone of the song wonderfully. The first verse sees this vulnerability shown off with this honesty that is so empowering that makes the lyrics of the song connect beautifully together. The chorus features some more incredibly thought about lyrics that ae upbeat allowing their harmonies to be shown off once again.
The second verse of Little Bit More continues seeing Ben taking on vocal lead for this part of the song which sees the male perspective adding another dynamic to the song. The instrumental break up in the middle of the song was the perfect slow down moment for the song, ahead of the bridge leading into the final chorus of the song which is given in a softer vocal range.
Come On In has a rather special kind of feel from the moment all three vocals start the song off with this rather magical feel. The first verse sees their gorgeous harmonies at the forefront which then sees a female vocal at the forefront allowing the sweet message from within the song come across in the most wonderful light with the softer vocal range complimenting the lyrics. The chorus has some super catchy, along with some heartfelt lyrics that I can picture as the lyrics are being sung along with their vocals having this wonderfully incredible sentimental feel to them throughout. The second verse continues Come On In with this rather special vocal that made me singing along as I caught myself getting wrapped up within the lyrics. The final verse of Come On In sees the song blended together so perfectly as the chorus ended the song in a way that is extremely special. There is something so incredibly special about this trio with their lyrical ability showcasing their incredible talent. Ben, KK, and Jenna have a bright future ahead of them!
Me + You has a guitar instrumental which starts the song off. The first verses sees a female vocal open up the song in an incredibly sweet way that I caught myself getting emotional invested within the lyrics thanks to the softer vocal range, which in turns allows for the lyrics to paint this wonderful picture of a loving relationship. The lyrics have an emotional, and sentimental feel making it an extremely special song. The chorus features some incredibly special lyrics that allow you to paint your own picture of the songs lyrics, whilst also understanding their meaning of the song - incredibly special in my eyes. The second verse continues with a female, and male vocal which sees a beautiful duet sound that makes for beautiful listening whilst also allowing the message of the song to continue in the sweetest way! The more I hear the chorus the more catchy I find it. The final verse brings Me + You to the most beautiful end as the final chorus comes in.
Light of a Clear Blue Morning (Dolly Parton cover) sees the trio start the song off with their stunning harmonies leading in the first verse hearing a female vocal start the song off. The vocal delivery throughout Light of a Clear Blue Morning is beautiful. The chorus allows KK, Ben, and Jenna a standout moment within the chorus thanks to their stunning vocal ranges. The second, and final verse of Light of a Clear Blue Morning have a wonderful feel about them, and you can hear their own interruption of the song that are covering which makes for wonderful listening.
