*OPINION* WHY REVEALING THE TRUTH ABOUT KAMMY WAS BRILLIANTLY TIMED

This week's episodes of Yorkshire based soap, Emmerdale viewers have seen Shebz Miah play some of his character's hardest scenes with Kammy Hadiq' truth revealed and now felt like a good show for the show to highlight this.

During Tuesday's (26th May) final scene saw the truth about the character of Kammy's living arrangements revealing him as homeless, which now looking back some viewers would have thought it was hiding something, unsure of what as the character's back story hasn't been visited much, but personally I feel that now was the right time especially with everything that is going on on Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden's farm. For me there is something about the way that Shebz Miah plays Kammy that has had me intrigued for a long time.

There was something about the scene where Kammy revealed the truth to his friend, Vinny Dingle during Wednesday's episode (27th May) that showed a level of vulnerability within the character that definitely showed Emmerdale viewers another side to the character with many hoping we will learn more about the character over the coming weeks.

However, the most powerful scenes for the character came as Kammy sat down with Belle Dingle following his release after being arrested in Thursday's episode (28th May) allowing for some honest moments where he opened up about his living arrangements to her seeing the emotional side something we haven't seen, however, it was Belle's understanding and reassurance that saw many of his walls break down - it was Belle's apology to him that saw the pair stronger than ever.

This week has showed that Vinny is a loyal friend to Kammy, and that Cain is looking out for him is something that is very rare allowing for a touching moment to end the week. However, it was Kammy's friendship with Aaron that went through a lot, but I'm so glad it wasn't ruined.

The way that Emmerdale are highlighting Hidden Homeless without the soap is brilliant, and it's not until you watch these storylines you realise about the situation people can find themselves in and sometimes through no fault of their own.

This week's Emmerdale episodes aired Monday - Friday at 8pm on ITV, ITVX, and YouTube.
