NEXT WEEK ON CORONATION STREET: LAUREN IS OFFERED A PLACE TO LIVE ONCE SHE IS OUT OF FOSTER CARE

Image
With Lauren Bolton and Max Turner having finally admitted their feelings for one another during last Wednesday's episode (23rd October) where they agreed to give relationship another chance  something I have to say I am glad about and I have to admit my timeline last Wednesday was too as you have to remember Max has been there for Lauren through a lot of her ordeal especially since she has become a mum. During next week's episodes, viewers to the soap with David Platt accompanying Max to visit Lauren and to tell her that she and Frankie are welcome to move in with them once her and her son have finished in foster care. Photo Credit: ITV/ Coronation Street As the week continues Roy Cropper offers to buy Lauren a pram, which Lauren is extremely grateful for, however when she asks Dee-Dee Bailey for help to choose one, she is short with her why I am sensing Dee-Dee is hiding something or is there more behind her clearly damaged friendship with Lauren? Coronation Street airs Monday...

DANNY MAC SET TO RETURN TO HOLLYOAKS AFTER A DECADE

Image
Next year, a blast from the past in Danny Mac is returning as Mark Savage known to viewers as Dodger after 10 years something I am very excited about who didn't love Dodger all these years ago? With Danny Mac already back filming alongside Anna Passey who plays his on-screen sister, Sienna, Nikki Sanderson who plays Maxine Minniver, and Jeremy Sheffield who plays Jeremy Blake. Photo Credit: Lime Pictures/ Hollyoaks Once called a hero back in January, 2015 for protecting his family, but with the Blake family full of twists and turns is no surprise that when Dodger returns he will arrive with an agenda, but what is he up too? Talking about reprising his iconic Hollyoaks role, Danny Mac said:  “After a decade away, I’m thrilled to be returning and reuniting with my incredible co-stars, old friends and a character very close to my heart. Dodger escaped, leaving a great deal behind. I’ve always wondered whether he could return and who he might have become in the 10 years since he r...

NEXT WEEK ON HOLLYOAKS - FRANKIE CONTINUES TO STRUGGLE

Image
During next week's visits to Hollyoaks, viewers will see Nancy Osborne interrupt Frankie Osborne and Vicky Grant to tell her that her twin, JJ isn't responding to his treatment which sees Frankie realise that they may look to her to be a donor, however, Vicky is quick to assure that she doesn't have to do anything she doesn't want  this is something I like about Vicky and Frankie's friendship as they are always there to support one another. With JJ ill, and trying to hide in the village he leaves a note in Frankie's place of work - Price Slice, however, JJ collapses as Mercedes McQueen tries to talk to him leaving Nancy to call for an ambulance before Darren Osborne is told that JJ has pneumonia. Later, outside the hospital Darren is upset and tries to tell Frankie he hasn't taken JJ's side but also can’t abandon him and asks her to try and understand. I feel for Darren as he is torn and at the end of the day JJ is his son despite everything. Photo Credi...

SINGLE REVIEWS - ALANA SPRINGSTEEN - COWBOY/ HOLD MY BEER

Image
Today (Friday 18th October) singer-songwriter,  Alana Springsteen release not one, but TWO songs - Cowboy and Hold My Beer. Cowboy  opens up the a new era of Alana Springsteen music perfectly. The first verse is brilliant and opens the song up wonderfully with the traditional country boy feel and everything you would expect from a cowboy, however it's the chorus that you can hear the tides changing as it is fantastically catchy heading into the second verse that the story changes that I find really interesting and very cleverly done - it's a story of love that turns to hate. The final lines allow for Alana's soft tones to let the listeners in to her personal connection, so powerful. Photo Credit: Chase Denton Hold My Beer  is a very edgy song that I absolutely love and am really enjoying this new era of Alana Springsteen music. The songwriting is fantastic reminding me of music I grew up listening to from the early 2000's and has a very dark meaning at times, however it...

Image
During next week's visit to cobbles of Coronation Street, viewers will see Lauren Bolton give Dee-Dee Bailey some flowers as a thank you for offering her and her son, Frankie a home.  The way these two ladies have supported one another recently has been wonderful to see as Cait Fitton and Channique Sterling-Brown are both brilliant actresses. Photo Credit: ITV/ Coronation Street As Lauren's social worker pops up to see her, Dee-Dee makes a cup of tea and finds an old love note from Joel Deering which leaves her upset and dashing out.... Are things all beginning too much for Dee-Dee? Bobby Crawford visits number 8 to ask why Max Turner is avoiding him, only to find Lauren there too. Photo Credit: ITV/ Coronation Street Later in the week, wanting to take her mind of Joel's funeral, Lauren extends an olive branch to Bobby by inviting him to visit Frankie in hospital. However, in the baby unit, Lauren is taken aback when Max confesses that he does in fact have feelings for her...

However, as Lucas returns he realises that a lot has changed. In Wednesday's episode (16th October), as Lucas surveys the village on his return, Frankie is emotional to have her best friend back. Later at the Lomaxes, Lucas is reunited with his father, Ste Hay who recently woke up from a coma and meets his nephew, James who his sister Leah Barnes gave birth to before jetting off to America. EP REVIEW - MADELINE MERLO - ONE HOUSE DOWN (FROM THE GIRL NEXT DOOR)

Image
This Friday (11th October) will see rising singer-songwriter and 2024 CCMA, Female Artist of the Year nominee, Madeline Merlo is set to release her latest EP, One House Door (from the girl next door). Broken Heart Thing featuring Dustin Lynch is filled with a lot of vulnerability that is also filled with many honest moments that tells a rather personal story one that is written beautiful as I have a feeling many people will be able to relate with. Dustin's verse adds another layer to the story allowing for some beautiful harmonies.  Bar Fight begins with a soft vocal tone with the chorus being a head over heart moment seeing some wonderful song-writing bought to life that I caught myself getting rather emotional over. Thank you, Madeline for writing a brilliant song from the heart. It's the uptempo during the final verse and chorus that are everything! Same Car  gave me goosebumps as the love story vibes kick in with her higher vocal tones being shown that bought up so many me...
