MY TOP 5 EMMERDALE FAVOURITE STORYLINES

Welcome back to this year’s look back on my favourite storylines with the help of my very good friend, Amy as we make our Top 5 storylines of the year (2021) after a lot of discussion we agreed on these. Super Soap Week  was aired in the middle of October, Emmerdale did there annual Super Soap Week which I have to start left me with many different questions. When I first read about the Super Soap Week plans, I was a little worried purely because of the social distancing still happening in the show but I didn't mean to be which was made for lovely viewing. The journey that the week's scenes took us viewers on were amazing short of brilliant whilst also developing on many characters relationships throughout the week. The Meena Julta, David Metcalfe, and Victoria Barton love triangle was interesting as us viewers were on our toes with the twists and turns as we all know and wanted David to get with Victoria. But the games that she played with Jacob Gallagher in the aftermath were...

WHY EMMERDALE WERE RIGHT TO SHOWCASE ITS YOUNGER CAST IN 2021 - PART 2

Following on from part 1 of this article that I shared back at the start of August, I continue to highlight why Emmerdale producer, Jane Hudson was right to allow the show to highlight its younger cast members at the forefront of the year making for some happy, emotional, and a raw set of mixed emotions in some of the scenes over the past 4 months. Gabby Thomas' -  I loved how in August, viewers saw Gabby and Liv Flaherty's friendship starting again - personally I have loved watching this as it allowed for many fans to see another side of the characters. At the end of August, Gabby was the biggest support for her best friend and supported her throughout her ordeal with what had happened allowing for many beautifully written scenes seeing another side of their friendship - I am so grateful for Emmerdale for allowing us viewers once again to see this friendship and how much it has changed over the years but it is definitely still as strong as ever. At the end of September, viewe...

CORONATION STREET CHRISTMAS REVIEW

The past three evenings viewings of Coronation Street have made for some of the most wonderful moments. Coronation Street have managed to get the perfect blend of drama, comedy, grief, heartfelt moments, different dynamics from key characters and more. One thing I really liked and enjoyed was the way that they worked in their continuing storylines with Daniel Osborne and Daisy Midgeley will they/ won't they get together which I am personally liking to see as are many viewers. I have nothing but praise for the way that the show has shied away from the topic of grief with Abi Franklin over her son, Seb who tragically lost his life earlier this year, the way that Abi wanted to make everything perfect despite everything she is feeling. But the moment, Kevin Webster surprised her with her twins that Seb set into motion made for emotional viewing. Yes, I cried! Boxing Day's episode saw Abi tearing into Kelly Neelan once again after she leaves flowers for Seb -  I understand Abi is gr...

DANNY MILLER CROWNED KING OF THE CASTLE 2021

Last night (12th December), saw Danny Miller crowned KING of the Castle on I'm A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here! Danny being speechless as it was announced he had won, but it was such a deserving winning moment. Danny should be so proud of himself! Danny Miller, for me was the finalist that went on the biggest journey; through having just become a dad (only a few weeks prior to entering the castle), to being the biggest fan of the show, wanting to do his family proud, as well as wanting to challenge himself. Viewers have definitely seen another side of who Danny Miller is, and he should be so proud of himself because all of us fans are. Danny allowed for the emotional side of himself to come out on a few occasions which displayed how much Danny wore his heart on his sleeve during his time in the Welsh Castle especially as during Thursday's episode (9th December), Danny spoke about Gavin Blyth during a chat about his character, Aaron Dingle on Emmerdale, the person that made his ...

EMMERDALE EPISODE REVIEW - DANNY MILLER'S FINAL SCENES AS AARON DINGLE

Tonight's episode (6th December) saw Liv Flaherty's day in court on the charges of Ben Tucker's murder which us viewers know she has been falsely accused of, and within the episode Danny Miller left his role as Aaron Dingle after joining the show back in 2007. You can read my Top 10 moments  here . Tonight's episode was directed by Jane Ashmore and written by Andrew Kirk. In Monday's episode , Emmerdale viewers saw Aaron Dingle re-watching the video of him and Ben Tucker, as Chas Dingle checks in on her son their bond is something I am really going to miss. The facial expressions and emotions from both of these characters said a lot especially with Aaron struggling as much as he is. Back at the Dingle's farm, Belle, Sam, and Vinny were talking about Liv Flaherty and how they are going to court together with Belle's words being needed.  The camera long distance shoot of Aaron outside of the court spoke volumes as it showed a lot of vulnerability , however onc...

SINGLE REVIEW - ERIN KINSEY - BETTER ON ME

Yesterday (Friday 3rd December), Erin Kinsey  released her latest single, Better On Me. Erin is an artist I remember seeing at C2C back in 2016. Better On Me  starts with a quirky upbeat instrumental which offers this vibrant sound that I happen to adore right from the start. The first verse sees Erin's crisp vocal at the forefront allowing for the songs beautifully heartfelt message within the song to be shown, but one thing I love about the quirky lyrics is the moments of female empowerment mixed in with lyrics message making the perfect blend. I like how Better On Me leaves you with many questions on what the song is about, I'm excited to see what the rest of song reveals. The chorus of Better On Me features many of those past relationship feels where you have they one moment of clothing you share and everything's ok. The attention to detail within these song is so special and a song that is close to Erin's heart. The second verse continues with the moments of the re...

TOP 10 DANNY MILLER MOMENTS

As everyone who knows me knows and from this article you will know too, I have loved watching Danny Miller's journey as Aaron Dingle right from the moment he joined back in 2008, however, a lot of my favourite scenes were from when he re-joined the show back in 2014 as part of Donna Windsor and Ross Barton's heist drama. Unofficial Wedding (17th February, 2017)  will always be one of my favourite Robron scenes thanks to the references from their early days especially the garage which was a fundamental part of their journey. The way that the wedding was very Robron styled which I have to admit made for many special moments for us Robron fans that still live on today in the 'Robron fandom'. Robert and Aaron's wedding was full of emotion as it was purely about this pair and their beautiful love story even if it is a complicated one. The moment that Aaron and Robert shared their vows with one another was an extremely special moment as it was them two opening up to one a...

SINGLE REVIEW - EMMA & JOLIE - A MILLION CHRISTMAS TREES

This Friday (3rd December) will see British singer song-writing duo,  Emma and Jolie  release their debut Christmas single, A Million Christmas Trees. A Million Christmas Trees  starts with an upbeat festive instrumental which I have to admit sets the tone of the song perfectly. The first verse sees Emma's vocal at the forefront displaying this wonderfully soft soulful tone with lyrics of meaning that allow us listeners to hear a few magical moments which got me in the mood for Christmas (I am the least Christmassy person!). A Million Christmas Trees takes you on a journey that sees the song beautifully link to the chorus. The journey is one that I really caught myself appreciating, and its amazing as we get older we start to appreciate time with our families. The chorus features Emma and Jolie's vocals working in perfect harmony allowing for their vocal tones to shine through. There is something so incredibly special and who Emma & Jolie are as artists. A Million Chr...
