C2C SET REVIEW - RAELYNN - TOWN SQUARE - SATURDAY 9TH MARCH
Writing this review on Raelynn's set is something I didn't think I'd be doing having waited for the past 6/7 years for her come to the UK to perform.
Raelynn chose to open her packed out set on the Town Square with her debut single God Made Girls which for me was the perfect song to start her 30 minute set with and God Made Girls had the audience singing along right from the start and by the look on Raelynn's face she was amazed that we knew all of the lyrics too. Raelynn then chose to perform a new song for us called Country Girl Gets It Done (or at least that's what I think it was called in fact it's called KEEP UP) which was quiet a sassy, funky song that the audience loved and were swaying too. Raelynn's next song was another new one which I sadly didn't catch the name of (gutted because I absoultely adored it turns out it's called BRA OFF) but it was such a wonderful song which I loved. Raelynn then chose to slow her set down and perform one of her best known hits Love Triangle which showcased her soft, heartfelt vocals and the fact that Raelynn's face said it all when we all started to join in with her singing. A few people in the audience around me were getting a little choked up by this song and it was obvious how much this song means to a lot of people all around the world. The next song which Raelynn performed was Queen's Don't which was a super sassy but fun song which the audience absoultely and one that had all the girls singing along with and I loved that Raelynn's showcased her incredible vocals on this song. The second from final song was the fun, upbeat song Tailgate which had the audience singing along with every single word - the journey from Raelynn during her performance of this song was just incredible and I felt myself singing along with every single word. The final song of Raelynn's set was her current single Rowdy which the audience were very happy about the noise from the audience singing along said it all. Raelynn's energy during her set was the same throughout that blew the audience away and I completely adored the way Raelynn said how much she loved the audience because everyone was smiling throughout and I am thrilled she noticed that.
