EMMERDALE EPISODE REVIEW - EMMERDALE ARE STARTING TO DEAL WITH AARON'S MENTAL HEALTH
Welcome to another blog but one I am so very happy to be writing the one where Emmerdale FINALLY mentioned Aaron's going to be going to a counselling session and one that we see on screen.
Monday's episode was written by the wonderful Cameron McAllister he's writing is just great one of my favourite writers alongside Maxine Alderton of course. Directed by Paul Copeland.
First scene of the evening featuring Robert and Aaron was of them talking about going for a picnic in which was not very popular with an unconvinced Aaron but with him wanting to spend time with Robert he quickly agreed. For me the best part of the scene was Robert mentioning that Aaron is finally going to be going to counselling tomorrow.
In the shop, Tracy is serving Robert and Aaron when they are buying things for their picnic.
The best scene of the episode we can all agree was when they started their picnic, HOW CUTE?? This is cute (shouting at my TV like I bet some you lot reading these were too!)
Robert praising Aaron on going for counselling which to Aaron probably means a lot and especially coming from his husband.
Robert and Aaron then arrive back to the village from their picnic on the green and see Rebecca as Ross is about to ask her something in front of them. Why does Rebecca have to ruin EVERYTHING!
Thankful for a flirting Robert and Aaron tonight let's be honest we all were, wasn't we?
We all loved the first half or at least up until Rebecca tells them she's pregnant.
In the second half of the episode it's clear from when Robert was sat with Victoria and Aaron talking about Rebecca's 'pregnancy' that he was panicking. Following this scene was a beautiful Aaron and Victoria scene that reminded me so much of the old days and shows how much their friendship has changed and it's a lovely thing to see.
Final scene of the episode come from Rebecca and Robert in the middle of the street but it's very clear to us viewers that all Robert cares about is Aaron. With Robert praying that Aaron doesn't find out about his one night stand with Rebecca (that we still don't 100% know if it happened, let's be honest anything could of happened. I personally think nothing did!)
Tuesday's episode was written by Jane Pearson wonderfully and directed by Simon Ferguson.
Being aware before the start of the episode we could expect some Aaron and his counsellor scenes, I was like Yay! but I was worried about what sort of scenes cos we know Aaron he can bottle up his feeling when talking about himself, but I hope he doesn't.
The episode started with Robert on the phone to Rebecca when Aaron walked through from the back room of the pub. Then when Aaron sits beside Robert, Robert talks to him about his counselling.
Robert is really annoying me, he should be there for Aaron not spending most of his time with Rebecca, Aaron's struggling if you can't already see that and he needs you!!
The next time we saw Robert when he was with Rebecca at The Mill (why do they always meet there? Thought it was meant for Robert and Aaron not for Rebecca and Robert's meet ups.)
Robert tells Rebecca to get an abortion with Rebecca bringing up that she did before when Robert was with Chrissie and that she had to had the fact they slept together because of Chrissie. Robert you need to think about Rebecca's feeling in all this and not just yours.
I was definitely feeling for Rebecca at this moment in time. They are definitely ruining Robert's character and he doesn't deserve this. 2015 Robert was definitely back.'
After the break, we saw that Aaron is so scared sitting in waiting room awaiting Robert's arrival (in which of course, Robert is late.)
A scene in which I never thought we would get before is of Aaron's talk with his counsellor. But I was very happy that Robert joined Aaron even if he was late.
My heart was breaking with Aaron being so honest and it's something for me that I have always wanted to see. And also the way Robert was saying how proud he was of him for standing up against Gordon in court.
The fact that I can love Robert one minute, then hate him, then love him etc is so annoying but Ryan is just amazing as Robert!
The finally scene between them for the night is Robert and Aaron in The Woolpack with Robert bringing them both a bottle of beer. Aaron is still super scared and without Robert by his side, Aaron you are so much stronger than you realise.
Wednesday's episode was written by Jane Pearson and directed by Simon Ferguson.
The first scene of the evening was of Robert and Aaron going for a run where he tells Aaron to run off in front when he sees Rebecca. What a surprise Robert ditched Aaron once again for Rebecca .
During the next scene with Rebecca and Ross, it's so obvious that Rebecca doesn't want this abortion that Robert is making her get.
Emily Head is one amazing actress, yes Rebecca is a character we all love to hate but Emily is so talented.
When Robert then goes to the abortion clinic to see Rebecca checking in with her outside after her meeting but Rebecca is crying, but Ross then spots them from a distance.
To me it seems that both Robert and Rebecca went this baby if they were both honest about how they feel and they could make it work!
In the second part of the episode, it starts with Rebecca being dumped by Ross at Home Farm.
Then back at The Woolpack, Aaron receives a call from Liv in which he takes into the back room - whilst Ross talks Robert and when he brings up seeing him at the abortion clinic it's clear to him that Robert knows and could blow everything to Aaron. Robert a few moments later walks into the back room where Aaron is still on the phone to his sister where Robert brings up about going to visit Liv.
In the final scene of the episode, was Robert telling Charity Aaron wants to go and visit Liv - that's when Ross sees an opportunity to blackmail Robert not to tell Aaron about Rebecca's baby being his.
Thursday's 7pm episode was written by Lesley Clare O'Neill and directed by Simon Ferguson.
One of the first scenes of the episodes was of Aaron and Charity talking around the breakfast table and Robert rushing off to deal with Ross if only Robert had told Aaron. With Robert then receiving a call from Ross.
When Robert arrives at Ross' he only gives him half of the money that Ross is blackmailing Robert over. I definitely love a blackmailing Ross, he is my favourite character to hate, well done Mike Parr.
With Robert and Aaron planning to leave before Aaron decides his left something inside The Woolpack with Robert spying Ross leaving his house, Robert quickly hides awaiting Aaron to return so they can leave and when they do, Ross isn't happy with Robert. Robert is so pleased with himself especially with the speed in which he is driving to get away from Ross with Aaron for their holiday.

Special Mentions
Danny Miller and Ryan Hawley have been amazing once again and I think we can all agree they deserve an award at the British Soap Awards whether individual or as a partnership. 2017 they have been strong although for us fans Robron have had so many ups and downs within the past few months, we are enjoyed seeing them be amazing. These episodes of Emmerdale aired between Monday 10th - Friday 14th April on ITV.
