CORONATION STREET WELCOMES NIGHTMARE NEIGHBOURS

Image
The residents of Weatherfield will soon need to watch their backs as Coronation Street welcomes Mick and Lou Michaelis making life hell for anyone who crosses them. With the Michaelis family moving into Mawdsley Street at the back of Chesney and Gemma Winter-Brown's house - this will be the very first time Coronation Street have extended the drama across the ginnel. Arriving on her own on Wednesday 12th February, Lou played by Farrel Hegarty immediately sparks up a friendship with Gemma as they recognise each other from Bessie Street School where Gemma's quads and Lou's two young daughters attend.  Why am I excited about this character's arrival? Reminds me of some past characters. Photo Credit: ITV/ Coronation Street  However, when Mick played by Joe Layton appears on Friday 14th February - the audience will be shocked to realise his true identity - the man with the silver van who has been harassing Chesney, who is none the wiser to who Mick really is. After developing...

NEXT WEEK A HUGE BLAZE IS SET TO ROCK THE COBBLES

Image
Things are about to hot up on Coronation Street as a huge blaze will rip through the Platt's family house next week, destroying not only bricks and mortar but also the lives of David and Shona Platt along with their family and those close to them. The action is set to start on Monday 3rd February with everyone gathered at the Bistro for Sarah Platt's birthday. However, Lily Platt, Ruby Dobbs, Hope Stape and Sam Blakeman sneak into number 8 leading to Toyah Habeeb rushes over to the house. Photo Credit: ITV/ Coronation Street With no sign of Toyah Habeeb or the kids it becomes evident that there may be people trapped inside. As Nick Tilsley, Shona and Max Platt head into the inferno, will they make it out alive as a huge explosion rocks the street? When the fire is proven to be arson some of the street's residents will start to feel the heat and find themselves forced to try and convince the police of their innocence. But the question remains who is the mysterious hooded fig...

CORONATION STREET REVIEW: LAUREN'S VERDICT WAS GIVEN AS MANY FUNNY MOMENTS HAPPENED ON THE STREET

Image
This week's Coronation Street episodes have been filled with drama from Lauren Bolton's court verdict being given and Nick Tilsley, Toyah Habeeb and her sister, Leanne Battersby's love triangle that saw the characters to come to an arrangement as well as seeing The Platt's in danger. Photo Credit: ITV/ Coronation Street Lauren Bolton's Trial  began during last Friday's episode (17th January) as an anxious Lauren worried about what was to come as Bobby Crawford and Nina Lucas spent the whole of the trial where her solicitor was brilliant supporting Lauren before continuing in  Monday's episode (20th January)  which saw Max Turner, Roy Cropper and Dee-Dee Bailey give their statements as the trial bought up Lauren's past before she was allowed the opportunity to share her side of what happened after Brie's outburst. I wish they would give Lauren and Frankie some happiness in between all the hospital scenes. Honestly, Cait Fitton is brilliant in these ki...

SINGLE REVIEW - KATY HURT - SEASONS

Image
Tomorrow (Friday 24th January) singer-songwriter,  Katy Hurt will be releasing her brand new single, Seasons. Seasons  is one heartfelt song with a real life feel to it and how everything can change in the blink of an eye and how every year of our life is precious just like the seasons are. The emotional connection to the lyrics are magical, and are very relatable to myself during this period of change. All three verses blend wonderfully together and you can get a real sense of honesty throughout making this an extra special song. Katy's tone is stunning throughout and her softer tone within the chorus is beautiful. The moment Joey Landreth comes joins Katy on vocals where their harmonies blend perfectly together. The chorus is definitely my favourite as the lyrics get you thinking even more in the most beautiful way. You can follow Katy on her Social Media X Facebook Instagram YouTube Website

NEXT WEEK ON CORONATION STREET: LAUREN FACES AN EMOTIONAL WEEK AS SHE STRUGGLES IN COURT

Image
Nothing ever runs smoothly for Lauren Bolton and next week is no different for the young troubled character played by Cait Fitton who I have to say has shown everyone what a brilliant actress she is. The week begins with Lauren having a tough day in court, but soon Roy Cropper tells the court what a kind and caring person Lauren Bolton is.  The way that Roy and Lauren friendship has continued despite everything is good as they genuinely seem to care for one another.  However, Brie is back as she jumps up claiming Lauren hurt her in prison. Photo Credit: ITV/ Coronation Street A horrified Lauren assures her barrister that she did no such thing as Lauren's barrister telling her that her son, Frankie is not well and has been taken to hospital. Lauren becomes upset that she can't be with her son that during Max Turner's evidence admitting that she is glad Joel is dead, has this outburst caused her more trouble? *OPINION* WHY STEPH MILLIGAN ARRIVAL IS AN INTERESTING DEVELOPMENT OF THE MILLIGAN FAMILY

Image
The moment Steph Milligan arrived on the Yorkshire based soap, Emmerdale. Viewers to the show have seen Steph determined to get her inheritance from her grandma as well as viewers realising how fractured her relationship is with her parents, Caleb and Ruby Milligan. The way that Steph Milligan was introduced to us viewers during Friday 15th November's episode as her father, Caleb was seen trapped by Jai Sharma was interesting as from the beginning you could see that Steph is a character not to be messed with you could see had a tough upbringing. With Caleb desperately wanting to save his relationship with his daughter, however, Ruby Milligan's reaction got me thinking that something isn't as it seems with viewers seeing that there were some issues during her childhood that led to their relationship becoming fractured making the backstory for the Milligan's super interesting to see play out going forward. As Caleb opened up to his sister, Chas Dingle about what happened ...

*OPINION* WHY CHARLOTTE JORDAN LEAVING IS GOING TO BE A LOSS TO CORONATION STREET

Image
Following the news that Charlotte Jordan is set to leave Coronation Street after 4 years after the news broke on Tuesday evening (7th January). From the very moment it was announced that Charlotte Jordan is due to leave later this year after playing Daisy Midgeley for the past 4 years. I am very rarely shocked when departures are announced as I know people go and out all the time, but for some reason this one kind of feels like an end of the era. Charlotte first appeared on our screens on 27th November, 2020 as the step-daughter of Jenny Connor and over her time on the cobbles based soap their relationship has been interesting to witness through the good and bad times as well Charlotte has been involved in some interesting storylines including blackmailing, becoming engaged to Daniel Osborne who viewers know is Daisy's one true love. Photo Credit: ITV/ Coronation Street Back in 2023, Charlotte's character Daisy was involved in one of the show's Acid Attack following a stalk...

NEXT WEEK ON CORONATION STREET: LAUREN BOLTON'S TRIAL BEGINS

Image
During next week's visit to Weatherfield, viewers will see Lauren Bolton's trial begin following Joel Deering's death last September. The week's visits begin with Max Turner visiting his girlfriend, Lauren Bolton who is currently in prison to find her panicking about her trial and with Max doing his best to be positive - Lauren sees straight through him. Lauren later decides to tell Max that it's best if they call it a day on their relationship as he has got his whole life ahead of him, whilst she is looking at a 20 year stretch leaving Max devastated! Photo Credit: ITV/ Coronation Street Towards the end of the week, Lauren's trial begins as she listens to the barrister addressing the courts. As the court continues, they start talking about Joel Deering's death and paints Lauren as a liar  can only imagine what will be going through her head. As the court continues, Bobby Crawford and Nina Lucas watch on with mixed emotions. Nice to see that Lauren has some ...

NEXT WEEK ON HOLLYOAKS: FRANKIE FACES AN EMOTIONAL WEEK AS SHE TAKES TO THE STAND

Image
During next week's visit to the Liverpool filmed soap, Hollyoaks viewers will see Frankie Osborne come face-to-face against her twin brother, JJ. As the day of the trial arrives, Frankie tells Darren and Nancy Osborne that she is ready.  There are set to be some emotional scenes that is for sure throughout the next week's worth of episodes. Some heart-breaking scenes are set to follow as Frankie takes to the stand supported by her family as JJ watches on, she reveals the trauma she suffered and why she finally felt safe enough to reveal the truth to her dad, Darren back in August last year in some highly emotional scenes. Isabelle Smith delivers emotional scenes brilliantly and I am sure that next week will be no different. Photo Credit: Ean Flanders/ Lime Pictures/ Hollyoaks Later, Darren, Nancy and Jack Osborne are questioned on the stand, before JJ takes to the stand the following day. But the end of the week, a verdict is returned...  What does this mean for Frankie? Holly...
