This Friday (2nd August) will see UK band,  Morganway release their debut album featuring classic rock, Americana and Country influences features. Morganway are made up of brothers, Callum Morgan and Kieran Morgan, alongside Matt Brocklehurst, SJ Mortimer, Nicole J Terry and Edward Bullinger. Morganway's debut album features 11 songs. My Love Ain't Gonna Save You starts with a lovely dark sound from the moment their vocals set in but sets the tone for their album wonderful allowing them to showcase their wonderful vocal ranges and instrumental skills. The chorus is super catchy and I felt myself trying to sing along with it. All three verses of the song are amazing and have a lovely story to them and with thanks to the lyrics it is super catchy. You can definitely hear how passionate Morganway are about their music. Let Me Go has a super quirky instrumental to start the song off in the most wonderful song and set the tone for the song perfectly. SJ's vo...

NASHVILLE MEETS LONDON - SATURDAY 27TH JULY - SET REVIEW - SARAH DARLING

Last Saturday (27th July), I had the pleasure of attending Nashville Meets London in Canary Wharf, where I saw US singer-songwriter,  Sarah Darling perform. Sarah wore a beautiful sparkly dress and as also she looked wonderful. Sarah's set contained 12 songs in her 60 minute set. Sarah started her set with Blue Sky which for me was the perfect song for Sarah to have at the start of her set with as it got the crowd up and singing along right from the start. The next song was called Call Me which happens to be one song that got the audience loving and the energy up with. The more I see Sarah perform this song the more I am amazed by Sarah's vocals on this song. Sarah then performed her song Fire in which Sarah displayed her softer vocal range on and her harmonies were incredible on. I caught myself singing along with this song for the first time (despite having heard this song quite a few times) and knowing all the lyrics which makes a change. Shine was...

NASHVILLE MEETS LONDON - SATURDAY 27TH JULY - SET REVIEW - TWINNIE

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending Nashville Meets London  in Canary Wharf, where I saw British singer-songwriter,  Twinnie who was the second act of the day. I saw Twinnie perform for the 4th time this year alone and she amazes more and more everytime I see her perform live! Twinnie's set contained 11 songs in a 45 minute set. Twinnie opened her set full of energy with Type of Girl which for me was the perfect opening song for Twinnie and one that once again had the energy of everyone attending right up despite the weather. The second song Twinnie chose to perform was called Won't Go (or at least that's what I think it was called) which for me was a new one that I absoultely adored and the audience were listening to every word Twinnie was singing, the vocals on this song was everything. Daddy Issues was next and this is one song I love the more and more I hear it live there is just something about Twinnie's vocal range and song-writing abil...

SINGLE REVIEW - EMILY FAYE - BAREFOOT

This Friday (26th July) will see British singer-songwriter,  Emily Faye release her new single for the Summer, Barefoot. Emily wrote Barefoot with producer Sue McMillan. Barefoot has a beautiful instrumental throughout the whole song which has a super country feel for me right from the start. The first verse of Barefoot set the song off wonderfully and with the lyrics makes the song even more incredible - something that is perfect for the summer. The chorus of Barefoot is one that I adore and takes me right back to being at the beach with the sun shining down and having the best time with family and friends! The second verse of Barefoot is super beautiful and continues the storytelling beautifully and suits the song so fantastically. Emily's vocal range throughout Barefoot is just incredible. The bridge of Barefoot is stunning and Emily's softer vocal range makes it wonderful. Barefoot is definitely going to be my summer jam and reminds m...

SINGLE REVIEW - JESS THRISTAN - YOUR TURN

This Friday (26th July) will see Yorkshire based singer-songwriter, Jess Thristan release her brand new single, Your Turn. Your Turn has a beautifully soft guitar instrumental to start which suits the song perfectly from start to finish. Your Turn is quickly joined by Jess' softer vocal range which I have to admit I adore! The first verse features some wonderfully heartfelt lyrics which I caught myself instantly connecting with from my own experience and songs that this are just incredible because you go through every emotion with one beautiful song. The chorus of Your Turn is extremely heartfelt and with all of the emotions you are definitely feel them within Jess' vocal tone which demonstrates to us listeners what an incredible artist, Jess is! The second verse allows the story within the lyrics to continue to shine (one that a lot of the audience will be able to connect with/ see themselves in as the lyrics continue). The bridge is super moving an...

SINGLE REVIEW - LOUISE PARKER - REAR VIEW MIRROR

This Friday (19th July) will see British singer-songwriter,  Louise Parker  who's based in Essex release her new single, Rear View Mirror. What Louise has to say about Rear View Mirror: "Rear View Mirror is an upbeat, sassy story about realising I deserve better. It is having an epiphany at a crossroad in life and choosing to not stand for anything less than perfection. I wrote it for all the women and men who have risen up in the face of adversity and been the stronger and better people. Rear View Mirror was born from a streak of road rage. A BMW wouldn't let me overtake on the M25, as I put my foot down and passed them I thought 'you suit my rear view mirror...' The chorus I wrote whilst driving, all the rest came later. Probably one of the easiest songs I've ever written. I'm a great driver, promise!" Rear View Mirror starts with guitar instrumental which I instantly loved and suits the song perfectly. The first verse is quickly given to us...

SINGLE REVIEW - GABBY BARRETT - THE GOOD ONES

Today (Friday 12th July) will see US singer-songwriter, Gabby Barrett release her brand new single, The Good Ones. The Good Ones starts with a soft instrumental (a little the same as I Hope but I like this sound gets you wanting more from the very start. The first verse of The Good Ones is quickly taken in and gives you exactly what you expect from the song (or at least I did). The lyrics are very catchy and you can paint your own picture from the lyrics. The chorus features The Good Ones some wonderfully honest lyrics which I love and I caught myself singing along with at the top of my lungs. I can't wait to hear this song live when Gabby comes over the UK one day - the softer vocals make this song. The second verse of The Good Ones carries the song on fantastically and the storytelling from the lyrics tells you about a bad relationship but one that teaches you a lot leading perfectly into the chorus. The bridge and final chorus during Th...

SINGLE REVIEW - JESS THRISTAN - THE OLD ME

This Friday (5th July) will see Yorkshire based singer-songwriter, Jess Thristan release her brand new single, The Old Me. The Old Me has a drum and guitar instrumental to start which I happen to love and start the song off in such a wonderful way with Jess' vocals. The first verse is one of pure honesty which is shown within the lyrics and I happen to catch myself listening too whilst wanting to sing along at the same time despite not knowing the lyrics. The chorus is obviously written from the heart and it allows you to hear the pain and not many songs allow us to do this, so for this I thank you Jess! The second and final verses work so well together and the story that you get from within the lyrics is just incredible and makes you relate on our own lives. Jess' vocal range is just stunning throughout and I adore the vocal changes allowing the emotions to shine through. The bridge of the song is completely breath-taking and made me get a little emotional. You can...

SINGLE REVIEW - TWINNIE - SOCIAL BABIES

From the very first moment I heard Twinnie 's new single Social Babies (OUT NOW!!) was first played on Bob Harris's Country Show on Thursday, I knew I would be reviewing this song because it is a song for most people with their use of Social Media and I hope it's a song that gets people listening and thinking about their use of their socials. Social Babies is a song with a quiet instrumental throughout which compliments Twinnie's vocals. The first verse is straight in which I love and the lyrics paint the picture for the song wonderfully and what most of us post on instagram and the determination to get the perfect photo to share. The chorus is my absolute favourite of the song and the part that I felt myself singing along with the most because of the catchiness and honesty within the lyrics which is wonderfully matched with Twinnie's stunning vocal range. The second verse continues the meaning of the song in such a wonderful way and I caught myself listening t...
