It was during the final scene of Christmas Day's episode, viewers saw Daisy Midgeley learn that she was pregnant, but the question remains who is the father as we all both that Daniel Osborne and Kit Green are in the running. Following the news that Charlotte Jordan is set to leave Coronation Street after 4 years after the news broke on Tuesday evening (7th January). From the very moment it was announced that Charlotte Jordan is due to leave later this year after playing Daisy Midgeley for the past 4 years. I am very rarely shocked when departures are announced as I know people go and out all the time, but for some reason this one kind of feels like an end of the era. During next week's visit to Weatherfield, viewers will see Lauren Bolton's trial begin following Joel Deering's death last September. The week's visits begin with Max Turner visiting his girlfriend, Lauren Bolton who is currently in prison to find her panicking about her trial and with Max doing his best to be positive - Lauren sees straight through him. Lauren later decides to tell Max that it's best if they call it a day on their relationship as he has got his whole life ahead of him, whilst she is looking at a 20 year stretch leaving Max devastated! During next week's visit to the Liverpool filmed soap, Hollyoaks viewers will see Frankie Osborne come face-to-face against her twin brother, JJ. As the day of the trial arrives, Frankie tells Darren and Nancy Osborne that she is ready.  There are set to be some emotional scenes that is for sure throughout the next week's worth of episodes. Since the very moment Lauren Bolton was introduced to us viewers back on 2nd November 2022, it is safe to say that the character has had her fair share of difficult and controversial storylines. However, it is 2024 that has seen the character have her toughest following the birth of her son, Frankie at the beginning of August who was last month released from hospital following 3 months in hospital since his premature birth. Thinking back to November 2022 and the moment Lauren Bolton and Max Turner were placed on screen together you could see this rollercoaster of a friendship forming which has since been through a lot with Max being the only constant in her life since arriving, this is something I am pleased Coronation Street kept allowing for Cait Fitton and Paddy Bever to create a brilliant friendship on and off screen which delivers brilliantly on screen. Ever since Betsy Swain's arrival to the cobbles of Coronation Street earlier this year, viewers to the Weatherfield based soap have seen Betsy become more vulnerable when it comes to Joel Deering's actions as well as in scenes that have seen her open up about her own ordeal alongside her relationship becoming stronger with her mum. It's crazy to think that Isabelle Smith  only arrived on our screens back in January as Frankie Osborne seeing the character involved in hard-hitting storyline for her character, however since  February, Frankie has had tough relationship with Osborne family especially Nancy and Jack which looking back now you can see the cries for help with her moods, attitude, and vulnerability that have changed over the past year, but her relationship with her father, Darren was great to see develop. Following Daisy Campbell's announcement what she is leaving Emmerdale after first appearing on our screens on 19th July, 2011 meaning she has played Amelia Spencer for 13 and a half years. Over the past week  of scenes on Coronation Street, viewers have witnessed Carla Connor and DS Swain go through a lot emotionally, but I have to say there is something about this soap pairing that I am really enjoying as they just work together as this week has shown even through they have played with many viewers emotions. Last Friday's episode (22nd November) saw Carla and DS Lisa Swain kiss and sleep together which was interrupted by Betsy Swain drama after Lisa missed a call which she did twice in tonight's episode (29th November).
