SINGLE REVIEW - ROBYN RED - JUST NEED THE WINE

Image
Today (Friday 28th March), Scottish singer-songwriter,  Robyn Red  is set to release her latest single, Just Need The Wine. Just Need The Wine  has a fun and uplifting instrumental that sets the tone for the song wonderfully in my opinion. Robyn's soft fun vocals are brilliantly showcased throughout allowing for listeners to get a real sense of the Robyn's fun side as an artist. The storytelling within Just Need The Wine is fantastic as it takes us listeners on a journey and it's one of those coming of age songs when you really want to go and do something but also knowing that you shouldn't but at the end of the day all you want to do is have fun. The way that Robyn is able to take you on a journey amazes me especially through her humour and catchy lyrics mixed in with her relatable songwriter. Just Need The Wine reminds me of my prom many years ago when you plan to be sensible making this song extremely relatable for myself and hopefully many other listeners. You can f...

INTERVIEW WITH JESS AND THE BANDITS ABOUT THEIR C2C PERFORMANCE

Image
Following C2C 2025 at London's O2 , I had the opportunity to see Jess and The Bandits perform as part of the festival, and following this I recently had the chance to interview Jess about her experience of the festival. Hello Jess, How are you? I'm doing really well. Just settled back into the “real world” after such an incredible high from C2C! You recently performed at C2C London, how were those performances for you? OMG so good! I was a little nervous this year for some reason but the moment I hit those stages, I felt more like myself than I have in years. The fact you kicked Saturday's Countryline Stage with that much energy was fantastic to witness. Thank you so much! I honestly didn't know what to expect being the first on. The advantage to that if you're first on, you get a full soundcheck! So that helped to feel confident knowing the sound was great and we were warmed up. The audience was so ready for a good time and that made it even more fun. You performed...

NEIGHBOURS 40TH ANNIVERSARY REVIEW

Image
Despite all the challenges recently that Krista Sinclair and Leo Tanaka have been through to make it to their wedding in this week's 40th anniversary episodes have been wonderful to see that characters even though they go through a tough time can actually make it through - yes, I know there have been lies and something in-between however for this pair it worked out for the better. The way that Neighbours manage to bring the community out to celebrate special events such as this wedding, but it was the writing of the vows that were emotional to hear thanks to Majella Davis and Tim Kano's connection to the way that they were said knowing their characters inside and out. Majella plays the emotional side of Krista brilliantly. The attention to detail throughout the week has been fantastic to see their chemistry grow and grow even in those emotional moments who Leo took on Seb - Leo will do anything to protect Krista that's obvious! That final scene of the week - I'm shook...

Image
This week's interview is with  Lily Grace  who is a Australian singer-songwriter who I recently had the opportunity to talk with to discuss her debut album released last year whilst getting to know more about the talented artist. Hi Lily. I am honoured to be featuring you. How are you today? I'm great, so happy to be chatting with you. Can I please ask you to introduce yourself to our readers? G'day! My name's Lily Grace. I’m an Australian pop/country artist living in Nashville. I write songs for the girls who are just trying to figure out life, navigate friendships or dating, and have a dang good time when doing it! With you being an Australian native, but living in Nashville - how have you found the move? Amazing, but cold! I’ve been taking trips back-and-forth from Australia to Nashville for a while now, but now I can officially say “I LIVE here” which is the coolest thing ever. When you dream about doing something for such a long time, it's a surreal thing when ...

C2C SET REVIEW - ALLI WALKER - COUNTRYLINE STAGE

Image
During C2C, I had the incredible opportunity to catch Canadian singer-songwriter,  Alli Walker  who I recently interviewed at all 3 of her performance during C2C weekend, however here is my review of her Country Line Stage performance on Saturday 15th March. Alli opened her set with Red Wine or Whiskey saw the audience really engaged right from the start as you could see how much the audience wanted to see this talented artist's set. I Like Big Trucks  is a brilliantly fun song and one that many people in the crowd were singing along to. I Like Big Tucks is one of my favourite songs of Alli's that was wonderful to hear live. Country Music  is brilliant with the songwriting really shining through as well as knowing how to give the audience a show. Hung Up  (I think that is what the song is called) saw the audience listening closely to every single word that Alli was singing which for me was brilliant to see as Alli has been an artist I have been loving over...

C2C 2025 HIGHLIGHTS

Image
From the very moment, I arrived on the Friday (14th March) I was ready to party as the country vibes were already there, and I forgetting how welcoming the British country music fans are. Photo Taken By Me During C2C 2025 I started my festival off with  Alyssa Bonagura  who I only came across a few years ago following seeing her Tenille Arts and Caylee Hammack, but the 30 minute set just wasn't long enough for her especially as she had the audience so engaged. New Wings and Other Side of the World were highlights for me. I managed to catch  Gina Larner  on The Big Entrance stage with her all female band and this performer definitely has a bright future ahead of her. Gina's stage presence was fabulous to witness and the way she had the audience engaged was great. Excited to see where 2025 takes Gina Larner. Max McNown was another brilliant artist, I was so glad I managed to see as his stage presence was fantastic and he really knew how to give the audience a performan...

SINGLE REVIEW - CHANEL YATES - BIG GIRL BOOTS

Image
Rising Country singer-songwriter,  Chanel Yates  releases her brand-new single, Big Girl Boots tomorrow (Friday 7th March). Next weekend, Chanel will be performing at C2C Festival in both Glasgow and London between Friday 14th - Sunday 16th March. Photo Credit: Hove & Co Photograph Chanel's soft crisp vocals alongside her soft instrumental mixed alongside her vulnerable, heartfelt makes   Big Girl Boots . The emotions of leaving those tough relationships which can be hard and sometimes it's the hardest things that need to be done make us happier in the long run. There is something magical about songs that allow you to have your own interpretation of the lyrics The catchiness of the chorus is great and instantly made me want to get up and dance, and I really hope I will be able to at C2C London next weekend. However, as Big Girl Boots continues with more empowerment is bought to the song as it encourages the listeners to push through their own lives struggles when...

INTERVIEW WITH GINA LARNER AHEAD OF HER C2C PERFORMANCE

A few weeks ago, C2C announced their pop up artist for the festival and Gina Larner is set to play in London and recently I had the opportunity to chat with Gina about what we can expect from her set next week during her London performances. This week's interview is with Taylor-Rae  who is releasing her brand new single, Bittersweet which we recently spoke about during our interview as well as her plans for 2025. Hello Taylor-Rae. How are you today? I am great! Thanks for taking the time!  As you are new to many of our readers, can I please ask you to introduce yourself? Totally. I'm an artist originally from Canada, but now based in Nashville. I grew up singing with my Dad and that's what really spurred my love for music. Today (28th February) sees you release Bittersweet, can you please tell us a little about the track? This song is really about ripping off the “break-up bandaid”. My co-writers and I got talking about all of the things people say in a break-up to try and “save” the other person's feelings, and a lot of the time that just keeps that person from feeling closure. So we wanted to write a very honest take on that. Bittersweet is your first release of 2025 was this always the plan? Yes it was! ...

MY OPINION ON EASTENDERS 40TH ANNIVERSARY WEEK

This week's EastEnders episodes to celebrate its 40th anniversary has been brilliant and filled with a lot of nostalgia as we have seen past characters bought back as well as taking us viewers on an emotional rollercoaster. One thing EastEnders do extremely well are stunts and this week's was no exception with Reiss Colwell's car smashing into The Queen Vic leading to the pub collapsing with many residents inside allowing for the residents to work together to help/ save one another. The community feel all week has been wonderful to see, and one of the many reasons that I enjoy this show. The anniversary episode itself on Wednesday (19th February) saw an hour-long episode where Sharon Watts hallucinated seeing Angie Watts bought back for a short scene that I have to admit, I loved and one secret I am glad the show managed to keep a secret - Anita Dobson it was brilliant to see the first landlady return, but Sharon was rescued by Grant Mitchell reminded me of the early years....

SINGLE REVIEW - TIGIRILILY GOLD - FOREVER FROM HERE

Image
Today (Friday 14th February),  Tigirlily Gold  made up of sisters, Kendra and Krista begin their new era of music as they release their brand new single, Forever From Here. Photo Taken By Me at C2C 2023 Forever From Here  begins with a guitar instrumental setting the song up brilliantly. Kendra's soft tone opening Forever From Here is great as it allows for the song to come to live straight away with the country feel and love in a relationship that you want to hold on to before Krista joins creating from wonderful harmonies. The chorus is fantastic and brilliantly written the perfect Valentine's Day song release and that sometimes you have to take a leap of faith in the things you love. Kendra's vocal range throughout is stunningly placed together taking us listeners on a journey from start to finish. Forever From Here is written from the heart and as they say write what you know - Kendra and Krista definitely have with this song. You can follow Tigirlily Gold on their So...

Image
During next week's visits to Emmerdale, viewers will see the  storyline centered on a fateful night with not one, but two limousines in danger as one is left teetering on a treacherous frozen lake with someone's fingers grasping for life. With the drama continuing, the cast and director of the episodes spoke about what fans can look forward to within the episodes that are to come. Vicky Thomas, the director of the episodes said  “I'm incredibly proud of what we are putting together and I am so grateful I got the opportunity to direct these episodes as they have been absolutely the highlight of my career to date.”  Before adding  “Being involved with the planning and workings has been such a treat because we don't always get the opportunity to do such big special effects or big stunt pieces. So when you do get the opportunity, it's great fun and it means you get to work with some incredible teams outside of the Emmerdale world, who bring their experience and expertis...
