NEXT WEEK ON EMMERDALE: AARON INJURIES ROBERT

With Corriedale set to air next Monday (5th January) in a special hour-long episode at 8pm on ITV1 with no early release.

The week begins inside Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden's flat where John Sugden remains bound, gagged, and the gun still aimed at him. Unexpectedly, Aaron knocks Robert unconscious and John dares to believe his hope for a life with Aaron away from Emmerdale could come true.

As John and Aaron prepare to flee, Robert is still out cold. Confirming his intentions towards John as Aaron shares a passionate kiss reassuring John that all is well.

However, outside by the car, Aaron draws John into a hug, he suddenly seizes the gun. John desperately tries to retrieve it, but there's a struggle but Aaron gains control ordering him to drive them to the police station.

Meanwhile after their departure, Robert regains consciousness alongside blurred vision he staggers out of the flat in a panic desperate to salvage the situation he pleads with Joe Tate for help confirming the need to save Aaron from John. Anyone else intrigued to see why Robert asks Joe to help? But we all know Robert will do all he can to protect Aaron.

Elsewhere, in the vehicle, Aaron keeps the gun focused on John as he drives, but with John still in control of the car - the situation threatens to spiral.

Joe finally agrees to help, but can they catch them up in time? But is soon in the speeding vehicle, John presses hard on the accelerator, and in a last-ditch effort, Aaron grabs the steering wheel causing John to lunge for the gun, and their car veers dangerously out of control…

Emmerdale airs Monday 5th - Friday 9th January, 2026 with times confirmed.
