COMING UP IN EMMERDALE CHRISTMAS DAY IN THE YORKSHIRE DALES
One thing soaps do really well is a Christmas Episode and Emmerdale is the one soap that usually manages to make me want to sit down and watch the episode after busy Christmas Day and this year, I don't think will be any different.
The Emmerdale residents gather outside The Woolpack for a mulled wine on Christmas Morning - what community Christmassy feel.
Aaron Dingle is left completely puzzled when Robert Sugden heads off on a mystery errand, however, it's not long before Victoria Sugden and Aaron are increasingly concerned as Robert appears to have vanished on Christmas Day. Why am I excited to see where this goes.
Speaking of Christmas Day, Robert heading off on a mysterious errand with Danny Miller teasing how Aaron feels “Aaron's suspicious, but more worried he's leaving when Robert knows there is somebody actively trying to kill one of them or both of them. So, I think he's worried about where he is going on Christmas Day absolutely.”

Kim Tate is prepared to be on her own for Christmas where she is devastated by the recent betrayals from Lydia Dingle and Joe Tate. I'm not looking forward to seeing a lonely Kim.
Kim Tate actress, Claire King teased about Christmas on Emmerdale saying “Kim has rather an action packed Christmas coming up with Lydia and Kim's friendship tested to the limit. Filming Christmas always starts in October, so by the time we finish the real one it's been three months long, so it does drag on a bit.” Before continuing “But it can be a happy time, or it can be a disastrous time as there's usually a birth or a death at this time of year. So, who knows what we're getting this year?”
With Paddy Dingle still missing his father, Bear who we all know is working for Celia and Ray leaving his family unaware of his movements.
Vanessa Woodfield and Charity Dingle are strong-armed into spending Christmas Day together. Charity’s firefighting when Vanessa stays for Christmas dinner and Charity panics when Vanessa is drunk and Charity worries what she will say. Mackenzie Boyd and Charity cuddle up happy to have each other at Christmas, but a threat looms. I have a feeling Vanity fans will be pleased with these scenes, but I kind of hope they keep Charity leaning on Vanessa as I miss their friendship.
In the Graveyard, Claudette and Jimmy console each other over the losses that have impacted respective Christmases.
Speaking of this Christmas episode, the director Vicky Thomas said “This Christmas morning the day starts with them all outside the Woolpack. It's a joyous scene which includes many of our villagers and sets the scene for a lovely Christmas day ahead.” Before adding “In the scene, Chas calls out of the upstairs window of the pub. Charity down below is serving mulled wine and calls back up to Chas urging her to do some work and soon we find ourselves visiting the different houses on Christmas day.”
Speaking of what the viewers can except, Vicky shared “I really hope that the audience feel they are a guest at each of the houses we feature this Christmas. It is always fun filming Christmas in October and November but it can feel strange too. But as a crew we all dress in Christmas jumpers and it feels very festive.”
Emmerdale airs on Christmas Day at 6.15pm for an hour-long episode on ITV1.
