C2C SET REVIEW - DANIELLE BRADBERY (ALL BAR ONE)

Last weekend at C2C, I managed to catch the insanely talented US singer-songwriter,  Danielle Bradbery  when she was performing at All Bar One and how incredible was Danielle definitely worth the 5 year wait, I have endured! Having been a fan of Danielle since her The Voice days in 2013, what a journey Danielle has been on and one that she has taken her time with. Danielle was sitting down from the moment she entered for her set. Danielle started the set off with Can't Stay Mad which for me was the perfect song. The song showcased Danielle's soulful voice and allowed the audience to enjoy. The second song What Are We Doin'? was a little more upbeat than the first. The audience throughout this performance which listening to the very meaningful lyrics and with a few singing along you couldn't help but join in quietly too. Before performing her third song of the set, Danielle spoke to the audience about the different experience that happens when it comes to getting giv

C2C SET REVIEW - DANIELLE BRADBERY (RADIO 2 STAGE)

Last weekend at C2C, I managed to catch the insanely talented US singer-songwriter,  Danielle Bradbery  when she was performing on The Radio 2 stage in the Indigo  and how incredible was Danielle. Having been a fan of Danielle since her The Voice days in 2013, what a journey Danielle has been on and one that she has taken her time with. Photo by Me Danielle opened her set with Can't Stay Mad which is a song that has been a grower for me and how that the audience loved. Danielle demonstrated a great use of vocal control and knew exactly what she wanted along with the audience which just goes to show what an incredible artist, Danielle is! Danielle's second song was What Are We Doin? which happens to be one my favourites of her new ones on the album. The fact that the audience were listening to every word and letting Danielle have her moment was beautiful. Danielle got a few moments to talk about getting given songs and the difference in the process before she sta

C2C SET REVIEW - LINDSAY ELL (NY-LON)

Image
Yesterday I was at C2C and I managed to catch Canadian singer-songwriter,  Lindsay Ell who was performing in the UK for the first time as part of the NY-LON sessions and what a set it was from Lindsay. Photo by Me Lindsay started her set with a little talk then went straight into her first song Wildfire which is one of my favourite songs Lindsay vocals were wonderful with Lindsay showing her fabulous guitar skills at the end. The second song, Lindsay performed was Castle which made me very emotional as the message I get from the song and with Lindsay's softer vocals and much softer sound. The chorus of Castle is so catchy and one the audience really wanted to sing with the people around me singing it quietly due to filming taking part. Lindsay's third song was  Waiting On You I was wonderfully happy when the guitar tune started for Waiting On You because it's my favourite song of the album, it was another song that made me emotional again. The crowd really enjoy

C2C SET REVIEW - LIV AUSTEN (BIG ENTRANCE STAGE)

Image
Yesterday afternoon (10th March) at C2C, I managed to catch Liv Austen who's an artist I have wanted to see for the past 18 months and I am so grateful that I managed to make it happen yesterday! Liv performed on The Big Entrance Stage and what an amazing set it was. Photo by Me Liv opened her set with Miss No Body which for me was a song I had never heard but I loved and the lyrics were wonderful and with the lyrics it allows you to think of your own story - songs that allow us to do this are magical. Liv showed a great range of vocal skill. The second song from Liv performed was Enough For Me which was another new song to me (I feel like a bad fan saying this, sorry Liv.) made me very emotional but I loved it - the audience did too and this was shone within their respect for the song. The third song was called Train Of Thought which was my favourite from her set. The audience were just listening to the lyrics and allowing Liv to just sing this song and Liv definitely

THE IMPORTANCE OF DOWN TIME FOR YOUR MENTAL HEALTH

This is a blog post, I’ve wanted to release for a few months but I’ve been too scared to publish but I thought why not blogging is an escape for me from my busy life! I saw this quote above today and realised that the first saw it was 5 years ago, when I was really struggling with my A-Levels and the pressure of deciding what I wanted to do with my future. My mental health was so bad along with my anxiety (which was very little and I managed to hide from many people!) But with Mental Health being spoke about these days it's lovely to see, and I am not afraid to talk anymore. When I was a school/ Sixth Form, Mental Health was a very hard subject to mention and if you did the looks you would get would be the worst. The school council was rarely in so many people (I know when school had to suffer in silence and this wasn't right. It's only now I look back I realise how wrong it was.) I have learnt that over the past few years that I was becoming more stressed over silly
