GABBY BARRETT EARNS THE MOST FIRST-WEEK DEBUT ALBUM STREAMS FOR ANY COUNTRY ACT IN HISTORY WITH GOLDMINE

“Breakout star” ( Forbes ) Gabby Barrett shines brightly as GOLDMINE officially earns the most first-week debut album streams for any country act in history. With more than 16.1 million on-demand streams since its release on June 19, the album struck gold in both streams and sales. Warner Music Nashville’s “new queen of comeuppance” (PEOPLE) makes a bold statement as Goldmine   summits the Current Country Album Sales chart and enters in the Top 5 of the Top Country Albums chart with nearly 20,000 equivalents. She is the first debut female to achieve the latter since 2017. "Wow!!! Oh my gosh, I feel so overwhelmed and so blessed by this first week," shares Gabby. "GOLDMINE is truly a representation of who I am as an artist, person and songwriter, so to see this and feel this kind of love and support is just a dream. I am so grateful for my team at Warner Music Nashville and Red Light Management, thank you to them, my husband, family, friends, co-writers, producers and

SINGLE REVIEW - THE ADELAIDES - SEVEN BILLION

Today (Friday 26th June) will see  The Adelaides made up of Paris Georgia, Abi Phillips and Alicia Alba release their new single, Seven Billion. Seven Billion  starts with an upbeat vocal from Paris, Abi, and Alicia alongside the clapping, I was getting a real party, and upbeat feeling about the song. The first verse sees Abi take lead vocals as she allows her softer vocals their moment to shine with some soft sounding lyrics which are very relevant for this moment in time, and I love this about the girls songwriting. Up next is Paris with her beautiful vocals which blend the song together wonderfully. The chorus is very upbeat, and funky which is just perfect as it allows the ladies vocals to shine throughout, amazing everyone who is listening - I am TOO EXCITED to hear Seven Billion live after lockdown. The lyrics are catchy. Abi, Paris, and Alicia's harmonies are just breathtaking, and this is something I love so much about these ladies - their development as artists has bee

DEBUT ALBUM REVIEW - TENILLE TOWNES - ROAD TO THE LEMONADE STAND

Tomorrow (Friday 26th June) will see Canadian Emerging singer-songwriter,  Tenille Townes release her debut album, Road To The Lemonade Stand. Road To The Lemonade Stand  is made up of 12 songs. Holding Out For The One starts with an upbeat instrumental which I have to admit I love for the start of Tenille's latest EP. The first verse demonstrates Tenille's happy and little rockier vocal range allowing Tenille's song-writing to shine through with the lyrics being catchy. The lyrics is one hell of a catchy one which allows the listeners to get a real feel for the song and the message that she is trying to get out there with this song. The second verse continues the story within the song in the most wonderful way and you can hear the roller coaster of the journey in which Tenille has been or is going through at the moment. The bridge shows some of the catchy lyrics in a softer way which gives the song so much more than I would have expected before the song ended with the

SINGLE REVIEW - LAURA EVANS - DRAG ME BACK IN

This Friday (26th June) will see Welsh singer-songwriter,  Laura Evans  release her brand new single, Drag Me Back In. I was kindly asked to review Drag Me Back In and I have to admit you are all in for a treat. Drag Me Back In starts straight in with the first verse with a little instrumental which compliments Laura's vocal one wonderfully. The first verse sees Laura's upbeat vocals being demonstrated with a rocker side from the vocals being given which I have to admit, I like a lot - as it shows us all another side of Laura. The lyrics are ones of fun, and whilst being super catchy. The chorus of Drag Me Back In features some wonderfully rocky but heartfelt vocals as you get a real feel for the song, and it's meaning which I have to admit I find very different, but one I am very much looking forward to hearing live once we can get back to live music. I love hearing sassy Laura! The second verse continues Drag Me Back In fantastically as Laura's vocal range ch

SINGLE REVIEW - LOUISE PARKER - LIE TO ME

This Friday (26th June) will see British singer-songwriter,  Louise Parker  who's based in Essex release her brand new single, Lie To Me. Lie To Me starts with Louise's crisp, vulnerable sounding vocals which I have to admit gives me this real sense of hurt which led to Louise writing this song. Lie To Me has a quite piano instrumental that happens to allow Louise's vocals to shine through. The first verse sees Louise's raw, and honest vocal demonstrated in a way that I have never heard before, but one I happen to love a lot. The vulnerability us listeners get from Louise's songwriting is just incredible. The chorus sees Lie To Me get a little more upbeat whilst the lyrics within the chorus are given us a proper feel to who Louise is as an artist. The lyrics are so raw, it's breathtaking to listen too! Ahead of the second verse the instrumental solo is something that is beautiful allowing the song to continue growing. The second verse continues Lie To Me wi

EP REVIEW - KELSEY BOVEY - NOT SCARED ANYMORE

This Friday (26th June) will see British Country Music singer-songwriter, Kelsey Bovey release her EP, Not Scared Anymore. Not Scared Anymore  is made up of 4 songs. Out of Our Minds starts with a funky instrumental which I have to admit I wasn't expecting but I loved it. The first verse is very vulnerable about the first time meeting someone when you take in every single little detail about them, and before you take it to the next level. The chorus is a little more upbeat, and that moment when you see everything about them is wonderful and the moment that everything is going well - you are so happy. Love how the emotions Kelsey has in her vocal delivery of this song. The second verse of Out of Our Minds continues wonderfully with the story telling going to the next step in the relationship where you start to open up, and love where you are both going with the relationship. The more the song continues the more I catch myself believing in every single word Kelsey is singing esp

DEBUT ALBUM REVIEW - GABBY BARRETT - GOLDMINE

Today (Friday 19th June) will see US singer-songwriter,  Gabby Barrett release her debut album, Goldmine. Goldmine features 12 songs which Gabby has written 11 of. I Hope starts with dark feeling guitar instrumental which I instantly loved. The first verse showcases Gabby's softer meaningful vocal which allows the listeners to get to know who Gabby is as an artist and what she is capable felt remaining true to herself as an singer-songwriter. The lyrics are ones you can tell Gabby has written right from the start. The chorus is super catchy and one that a lot of people will be able to relate too - when they were in love with that certain person and they cheated on them and its definitely an anthem which I completely adore. The lyrics are so fantastically written from the very first word to the very end, I had goosebumps. The second verse continues the song in a wonderful way telling it from a different point of view when you are waiting for them to call but deep down you know

Today (Friday 12th June) will see British singer-songwriter and Musical Theatre Star, Vicki Manser release her debut solo single, Pick Me Up. Pick Me Up was written by Tim Prottey-Jones. You can read my interview with Vicki here . Photography: Laura Boon Photography Artwork: Jake Morrell Pick Me Up starts with a soft guitar instrumental which stays throughout the song allowing the listeners to real hear Vicki's stunning vocals. The first verse sees Vicki give such a country feel vocal which I absolutely adore along with her softer vocal tone everything about the song is perfect. The lyrics are just stunning that Vicki happens to deliever wonderfully. I also love how Vicki isn't afraid to deliever a lot of emotion within the very first few lines. The chorus sees Vicki deliever a softer yet more vulnerable vocal that happens to give the song so much more meaning, which I caught myself believing in every single word being sung. The second verse continues Pick Me U

CAIN AND AARON'S HEART TO HEART WAS A NEEDED SOAP MOMENT!

Tonight's Emmerdale episode (10th June) was a two-hander lockdown episode featured Uncle and Nephew, Aaron and Cain Dingle. Tonight's episode was written by Adam Sales, Emmerdale viewers saw Uncle and Nephew housemates, Cain and Aaron Dingle have their special episode which was broken down into days, and I loved this as you get a real feel for the characters lives. Day 1 saw Uncle and Nephew, Aaron and Cain at loggerheads already over something. You can see how much the lockdown is already getting to the pair. But I love the humour from Cain. Love how Aaron is trying to get the truth out of his uncle, leading to Cain setting out some ground rules as Aaron wants Cain to open up. Day 5 saw Cain see a letter on the kitchen table for Aaron which Aaron didn't see as he stood in the kitchen. The next day, Aaron was playing on his video game in the lounge as Cain walked in and Aaron started on the questions again. Aaron is determined to get an answer, he isn't goi

This week's interview is from UK artist, Sarah Watson who I had the pleasure of seeing back in January as part of a Loud In London Event at The O2 Academy, Islington alongside fellow UK singer- songwriters, Jeannine Barry and Bailey Tomkinson. Photo Taken By Me Morning, Sarah. Thank you so much for agreeing to do this interview with me. Firstly, I would like you to introduce yourselves to our readers? Hey guys! I’m Sarah. MOMENTS I HAVE BEEN WOWED IN MUSICAL THEATRE!

As many of you all know, I am a massive theatre lover and have been to see many theatre shows over the years especially musicals with my first being back in 2009. There is no order to this blog expect for the first two. Samantha Barks was in the very first musical theatre show I saw and Samantha was the first actress I was wowed by. Samantha was playing Sally Bowles in Cabaret at Milton Keynes Theatre and her vocals will always stand out to me. It's amazing to see how much she has achieved from coming 3rd in a UK talent show as they hunted for Nancy in Oliver! Samantha is due to start as Elsa in Frozen when it comes to the West End. Then, a few months later I saw Daisy Wood-Davis as Laura in Dreamboats & Petticoats - and all I can remember when this show was the moment Daisy sung her solo and I got shivers (needed realise it was that at the time as I was young!) Daisy is one hell of a talented lady who I have supported for 11 years now and my god what a roller c

TONIGHT'S EASTENDERS SPECIAL FROM BEN MITCHELL'S POINT OF VIEW

Tonight's episode of EastEnders was a special one as it was from Ben Mitchell's point of view as he decided to carry out a dangerous and life changing job. Tonight's episode was written by Simon Ashdown and directed by Jamie Annett who directed Max Bowden's work on Waterloo Road 8/9 years ago. Viewers tonight experienced some limited audio levels with some on-screen subtitles showing words and fractured sentences to reflect on Ben’s hearing difficulties which he has been facing since the boat crash on EastEnders 35th Anniversary episode back in February. I have to say as I was watching the episode tonight that being hard of hearing myself certain parts of the episode had me able to relate. In the first episode tonight, us viewers tonight saw a flash forward to another part of the episode which was quickly taken back to his daughter, Lexi watching Ben Mitchell up and telling him to place his hearing aid in. What a sweet little scene. Moments later, EastEnder
