SINGLE REVIEW - FIRST TIME FLYERS - DON'T TEMPT ME

First Time Flyers  made up of Tim Prottey-Jones, Vicki Manser, Jake Morrell, and Poppy Fardell are set to release their brand new single today (Friday 25th August) called Don't Tempt Me. Don't Tempt Me  begins with an upbeat instrumental that instantly makes me want to get up and dance. Jake opens the song with his upbeat rocky vocals setting the tone of the song up wonderfully with some catchy lyrics that are beautifully placed especially ahead of the chorus. The way that Tim opens the second verse, you are taken on a journey with the soft vocals remembered me of a night out recently aha. All the verses are fantastic, however, the bridge has Poppy on lead vocals takes the song in a different direction with it's pop country vibes. The chorus is my favourite part of Don't Tempt Me thanks to the lyrics being ones that many people listening will be able to relate with as most of us have been there. I love Poppy and Vicki's backing vocal harmonies - you can hear how equ

EP REVIEW - ALANA SPRINGTEEN - TWENTY SOMETHING: GETTING IT RIGHT

Columbia Records NY/ Sony Music Nashville artist-songwriter,  Alana Springsteen  today (Friday 18th August) releases the final installment of Twenty Something album. Twenty Something: Getting It Right is made up of 6 brand new songs. Taylor Did  begins with a guitar instrumental that heads straight into the first verse which filled with many Taylor Swift song lyrics that's the moment I realised the meaning behind this song, and one I really started to appreciate. The chorus is an empowering one as it takes you on a journey through Taylor's country era alongside lyrics that get you thinking and listening closely. Taylor Swift fans will really appreciate this song, however, for me it was the moment we hear Alana bringing in her own journey with the second verse being the most beautiful. There is so much I want to say that I don't think will come close, so I'll just say thank you, Alana for writing such a beautiful song filled with such appreciation! As well as a massive t

EMMERDALE EPISODE REVIEW - DAN AND AMELIA SHARE A SPECIAL DAY

It's been a while since I've done a single episode review, however tonight's episode (16th August) was one that I really enjoyed as it was filled with happiness even through the sad moments. *I have to say I loved how Emmerdale remembered to past of Dan and Chas Dingle.* Emmerdale are really good at special episodes and tonight's was much needed in my opinion as the episode started with Dan determined to give Amelia, a special day before tomorrow,  and like any parent you want to create as many happy memories as possible. The Yorkshire landscape as Amelia reached the destination was wonderful to see. Love that Dan just wanted to do something special. The way that Dan presented Amelia with a scrapbook of all their memories was fantastic and filled with many special moments alongside a special piece of dialogue from them both as we learn a little about their journey as they remembered all the childhood memories they shared. Despite all the fun and laughing around, the emo

TWO WEEK EMMERDALE REVIEW AS AMELIA AND DAN STRUGGLE

Image
Over the past few weeks it's Amelia Spencer who I've felt sorry for as no one deserves to have the social media ordeal she experienced  as someone who's been through something myself, it honestly knocks you! The vulnerability we've seen throughout is something that I have been able to relate with. The way that Noah Dingle supported his girlfriend with a marriage proposal (Thursday 27th July) which was a no, however, he'd the best intentions as he wanted to prove he's there for her no matter what as well as offering advice to Dan Spencer based on his own experience. I hated the fact that Amelia had to lie to Noah in last night's episode (9th August) even if it was to protect him. The characterisation of Amelia has been wonderful to see develop over the past few months, yes I know people will disagree, however for me Daisy Campbell has definitely shown what a great actress she is. However, tonight (10th August) saw things become all too real for Amelia as she

SINGLE REVIEW - ELERI - KARAOKE

This Friday (11th August)  will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri  release her latest single, Karaoke. Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. The first verses sees Eleri's soft vocal at the forefront with lyrics that get you thinking of those moments at a gig that you don't think you'll ever get to see takes me back to experiencing Priscilla Block with Eleri last year, oh the memories. The second verse sees the song take another turn of when you feel like things aren't working out but you are determined to learn from the lesson it's given you. The chorus features many catchy upbeat lyrics that I could myself singing along with despite not knowing the lyrics 100% typical Kellie. There is so much passion within the lyrics and the more you hear the lyrics the more appreciation I gain. Love the summer of '
