NEXT WEEK ON CORRIE: MORE DEVASTATING NEWS FOR SINEAD BUT JOY IS BOUGHT TO THEM AS SHE HAS HER BABY

Following Sinead and Daniel Osborne have been going through a tough time with Sinead's cervical cancer diagnosis which they received back in October last year, this week will see Sinead hear the fact that the cancer has grown and that they need to deliver their baby.

In the first episode of the week, will see Sinead receive the devastating news from her oncologist that her cancer has grown with her needing to start radiotherapy immediately followed by the news that she must give birth to her baby boy today! With Beth Tinker, Kirk Sutherland, Carla Connor, Sarah Platt, Craig Tinker and Izzy arriving at the maternity ward where they do an impromptu baby shower leaving Sinead feeling touched about what her friends are doing for her however, it's Daniel who finds it all a little too much and heads out.

However, in the second episode of the evening will see Sinead give birth to her and Daniel's baby boy with Daniel by her side... However, as quick as she gives birth to the baby, he is whisked away to neonatal with Sinead moments later passing out. Will Daniel lose the two people he cares about?

In Wednesday's first episode, as tired and worn out as he looks, an emotional Daniel decides to introduce his dad, Ken to his tiny newborn son. But Daniel quickly admits just how cared he is which will lead to a sweet moment between the father and soon when Ken hugs him close. Later, we will see that when the doctor explains that he needs to examine the baby privately, Daniel’s deeply concerned about what that could mean. Will Sinead and the baby be okay?

In Wednesday's second episode, we will see Daniel has named his and Sinead's son Bertie, a nod to Uncle Albert but soon the doctor breaks the news to Daniel that Bertie has a bowel condition however when Sinead asks about how her son is doing, Daniel covers up not wanting to upset her. Surely Sinead is better off knowing the truth about her son? Keeping secrets is what got you in this mess in the first place.

However, there is a little joy this week as in Friday's episode, us viewers will see Sinead finally getting the opportunity to hold her son, Bertie for the first time as Daniel wheels her down to the premature baby unit which quickly leaves Sinead overcome with emotion as she gazes down at her newborn son.

EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
