*OPINION* WHY GRAHAM AND JOE COMING FACE-TO-FACE AFTER 6 YEARS WAS A BRILLIANTLY TIMED EPISODE
Following the shock return of Graham Foster during the special Emmerdale and Coronation Street crossover, Corriedale which aired earlier this month to this week's episodes have been great.
Following on from last night's (Tuesday 27th January) cliff-hanger with Graham Foster returning to Home Farm where Joe Tate and Kim Tate were talking leading into tonight's episode (Wednesday 28th January) wonderfully as Joe and Graham came face-to-face after 6 years.

The way that Joe stood up to Graham telling him that he doesn't need anything showed just how different things have become making us realise how much the character has changed over that period.
Later, during a conversation between Graham and Kim, Joe overheard the real reason for his return to the village, but Graham and Kim scheming against one another how I have missed these kind of fiery moments as well as the softer moments of dialogue. Claire King and Andrew Scarborough scenes are as brilliant as they were all those years ago.

The episode displayed Joe's vulnerability and how much he loved Graham looking up to him like a father, to now being a confused man needing answers. Ned Porteous is great as giving us viewers the vulnerability needed as well as the character remaining strong. At times, I caught myself feeling for Joe and Graham as I forget how much these two need/ needed one another, but Joe breaking down and revealing how he felt - you can see this lost person come through.

The Kim Tate layer of the story with her paying for Graham to leave really complicated things, especially when Joe became emotional and the anger that showed during their showdown... I'd forgotten how much I'd missed this side of the character.
However, with Joe being the one to call the police and getting Graham arrested was an interesting move, and something I am very intrigued to see play out - what Graham will do next?
Tonight's episode was definitely a standout episode, Emmerdale really know how to do these kind of episodes.
What's next for Joe and Graham's relationship?
This episodes of Emmerdale aired tonight (Wednesday 28th January) on ITV1 at 8pm.

I was so shocked when Graham got arrested even my hubby said it wasn't right. I hope he's not leaving again 😔
