INTERVIEW WITH BRONNIE ABOUT HER LATEST EP OUT TODAY

This week's interview is with singer-songwriter, Bronnie who today (Thursday 22nd January) is releasing her latest EP, Chasing The Moon.

Hello Bronnie, how are you?
Hey! Life is great, I've been planning 2026 and this EP is kicking everything off which is exciting!

Before we go any further could I please ask you to introduce yourself to our readers?
I’m a country rock artist based in Liverpool and Nashville! I've been releasing music and I've been touring for over 10 years and have played some amazing festivals and supported bands in pop, rock and country scenes like Little Mix, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Don Broco, Maggie Baugh & Eric Paslay, I've learned so much from everyone I've toured with and put my all into headline shows.

Today, you release your latest EP, Chasing The Moon - how are you feeling about it finally being out for people to hear?
I'm so excited about this EP! I’m working on my 2nd album so whilst I'm finishing recording for it, I thought it was a great opportunity to showcase some songs from it on an EP. We've played these songs at the likes of Buckle N Boots, The Cavern Club & BBC R1's Big Weekend and these songs had the biggest responses!

I have to ask how did the title come about?
Chasing The Moon came about after my friend went through a breakup, they used to go on ‘Chasing The Moon’ drives where they'd go on late night drives headed wherever the moon was and I thought that was great song concept about writing about the things that they won’t be able to do anymore.

The EP is made up of 5 songs, can you tell us about them?
The songs were written at random points in a 3 year period. We had them recorded for a while and it was just a matter of time to drop them so this EP is a perfect time for all these songs to be released together as they all have different concepts and even have different styles but all fit in the Country Rock category!

What was the journey like from the writing, recording, to the EP being released? How long did the whole process take?
The process was fun! The songs were written at different times and I feel they all give something different which made this EP stand out to me so I felt like it was the right time to put them on this EP whilst the album is being recorded.

How would you sum up Chasing The Moon in 3 words?
Anthemic, Energetic & Gritty!

If you don't mind I'd like to ask you a few Quick Fire Questions

Easiest song to write? Probably my song Scream!

Hardest song to write? Danced With The Devil, it was a very serious topic regarding mental health so I wanted to be so careful and thoughtful when it came to the lyrics.

Favourite song you have ever written or heard? Family Tree  - I wrote it in Nashville with Blue Foley and Emily Henline (Not released BUT it 100% could be the song that changes everything!)

Do you prefer happy or sad songs? Depends on what mood! I do prefer 80% of my set to be full of happy energetic fun songs that get the crowd moving especially cause I have my full band jamming out onstage! But I do love sitting down and writing a tearjerker.

Favourite part of the song to write? I LOVE coming up with the song concepts, a lot of my songs have double entendres and stories and when you mix that with the perfect melody and lyrics, I get the biggest rush of adrenaline!

Thank you very much for your time, it has been fantastic chatting with you, Bronnie.
