*OPINION* WHY JACQUELINE JOSSA DESERVES TO BE THIS YEAR'S SOAP SUPERSTAR AT THIS YEAR'S INSIDE SOAP AWARDS

With the brilliant, Jacqueline Jossa nominated for Best Serial Performance in the long list at this year's National Television Awards which I really hope she gets shortlisted for! However, sadly this year at The Inside Soap Awards, Jacqueline isn't nominated however, there is a Soap Superstar category and I believe that Jacqueline should be up for this because ever since she arrived in Albert Square as Lauren Branning in September 2010 - over that time Jacqueline has tackled some brilliant and hard-hitting storylines from the alcohol storyline which saw many viewers open their eyes and see what a brilliant young actress she was at the time. I can't move on without mentioning the Christmas Day 2017 episode where Lauren and her sister, Abi jumped off the Queen Vic roof in one episode where I cried.

Jacqueline's return last year has seen her character, Lauren reunite with Peter Beale played by the original actor, Thomas Law which has been an interesting relationship to see change and develop over time, Lauren dealing with a painkiller addiction following the stampede at Peggy's, to more recently seeing Jacqueline tackle her characters son Jimmy's diagnosis whilst working with Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) which has been brilliantly delivered allowing for many more people to see what an incredible actress she is.

Lauren has also had many complicated relationships over the years from her relationship with her own cousin, Joey - let's be honest many of us viewers liked that pairing even though it was wrong, to her relationship with her dad Max has been very interesting however, there is no doubt that they need one another and I can't wait for his return! Last night's episode of EastEnders saw Oscar return and this is one pairing I am excited to see more of as viewers haven't really seen scenes between them for many years and if his debut tonight was anything to go by I'm excited to see what's next for the characters sibling relationship.

Throughout Jacqueline's 15 years she has shown what an incredible actress she is and she definitely isn't afraid to put her heart and soul into her storylines. Jacqueline, thank you for being one of the nicest people you could meet as well.

What a way would it be to win on Jacqueline's 15th year in such an iconic show, but please remember that it is only one vote per device.
