C2C FESTIVAL PLANNING

I've been thinking about doing this and I was like why not? I am excited and I am sure many others will relate to this planning as we only have 22 days, yes 22 days until C2C 2018 kicks off or (21 if you are attending song-writers)

The questions we are all asking ourselves;
Will I squeeze in the acts I want to see?
Will I have enough time to eat?
Will I know who the surprise acts are?
The answer to all of these will be YES if we all plan (like I did last year but it's harder this year - I will admit with another stage and venue/ stage changes!)

Make sure you make a list of the artists you are determined to see!
  • A must for me is a list of the artists,
For me this is the most important and so far I will but I just hope the unveiled on the day acts aren't any of my favorites or that will set me back.
  • How many stages are there and where are the stages based?
There are 8 stages where you can see artists performing;

Town Square is located just outside the arena alongside the Meet and Greet and signings. The Town Square is one of the free stages available all weekend.

Big Entrance is located right next to where you enter the O2 Arena. The Big Entrance Stage is also one of the free stages available all weekend.

Busking Stage is located at the back of the O2 next to Building Six. The Busking Stage is also one of the free stages available all weekend.

All Bar One which will be featuring the Country Music Week Hub which will be near if not next to the Box Office in the O2. All Bar One is one of the venues that will be included in your day tickets (C2C ticket) or wristbands available all weekend (one wristband you are able to use for all 3 days of C2C).

Indigo at the O2 is located inside the O2 at the building which is called 'Indigo at The O2'. Indigo at the O2 is one of the venues that will be included in your day tickets (C2C ticket) or wristbands available all weekend (one wristband you are able to use for all 3 days of C2C).

NY-LON (C2C Sessions) is located near the toilets near Pizza Express. The NY-LON is one of the venues that will be included in your day tickets (C2C ticket) or wristbands available all weekend (one wristband you are able to use for all 3 days of C2C).

Water Margin is located what happens to be next to NY-LON Sessions. Water Margin is one of the venues that will be included in your day tickets (C2C ticket) or wristbands available all weekend (one wristband you are able to use for all 3 days of C2C).

Building Six is located at the rear of the O2 which will be hosting BlueBird (Saturday & Sunday times vary which will require a £25 separate ticket.) Along with the C2C Close Up Sessions (Saturday & Sunday times vary - C2C Sessions is one of the venues that will be included in your day tickets (C2C ticket) or wristbands available all weekend (one wristband you are able to use for all 3 days of C2C).

Then you will have Cineworld which will be showing you 2 films (1 a day, see time on app). Cineworld is opposite the escalator and near the food hall. Cineworld is one of the venues that will be included in your day tickets (C2C ticket) or wristbands available all weekend (one wristband you are able to use for all 3 days of C2C).
  • How long each artists set is?
The answer is 30 minutes per set with a 10 minute set up time for the next artist.

  • Will I have enough time to get from one set to another?
Yes, you will if you are a quick walker like me but everyone else could be moving along too!

  • Which will I eat (plan if you can!)
Yes, there are plenty of stalls along with other amazing place places such as Pizza Express, Five Guys, Harvester and Nando's - so a lot of opportunities and everything will be doing their own thing so I doubt everyone will be eating at the same time but I would suggest booking if you can (if you have a big enough gap).

Just a warning there will be surprise acts so we'll need our apps on!

MY ADVICE ALWAYS TAKE AN AUTOGRAPH BOOK YOU NEVER KNOW WHO YOU'LL BUMP INTO!!

What changes are C2C making in 2018?

With Town Square moving outside the O2 (near the Big Entrance Stage) in order to make room for the larger range of festival activities including market stalls and stands, authentic food from the American South, Cocktails, Whiskey and craft beers from Signal Brewery and my personal favourites - The Big Machine Hang Out Booth, Artist Signings, Meet and Greets (meeting your favourites, is the best right?) and many more.

What other things will be on during the day?

Traders (Stalls)
  • Atlanta Designs (Country Music Designs)
  • Big Machine (Hang Out)
  • Boho Buffalo (Festival Fashion)
  • Country Music Magazine
  • Cowboy Boot Store (Boots)
