SINGLE REVIEW - CARRIE UNDERWOOD - LOVE WINS

TODAY (Friday 31st August), Carrie Underwood released her latest song from her upcoming album, Cry Pretty due to be released in 2 weeks (Friday 14th September).
Having been a fan of Carrie since her American Idol days, I am incredibly proud of her journey over the past 13 years.

Love Wins has a beautiful backing track which compliments Carrie's gorgeous vocals. The lyrics are beautifully heartfelt and based on the society today and I felt myself believing every word that Carrie was singing. The chorus is exteremly clever in the way that it gets you thinking whilst wanting to sing along with EVERY word. Carrie's range of vocals is used incredibly well and the fact that she knows how and when it change her vocals by the drop of her hat is just sensational and why artists like Carrie are exceptional.
Even though Love Wins is a power ballad the message from within the song is just incredible and very moving! And without a doubt will leave fans feeling emotionally moved, but one thing I know is, is that thanks to a song like this people will be able to start accepting themselves and others around them!
I adore the fact that Carrie has named the song Love Wins because Love really does win in whatever form it happens to be in these days.
I have nothing that next week when Carrie performs this on her UK dates fans will be singing along with MASSIVE smiles on their faces!

This Friday (11th August)  will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri  release her latest single, Karaoke. Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do.
