SINGLE REVIEW - TENILLE TOWNES - AS YOU ARE

Today (Friday 23rd February) will see Canadian singer-songwriter, Tenille Townes release her brand new single, As You Are.

As You Are begins with Tenille's crisp tone with heartfelt lyrics that instantly got me thinking of my good friends when they have gone through a difficult time pushing people they care away thinking they were doing what was right for everyone involved turning into the worst decision they could have made as we all suffered even more.
The chorus is stunning and all about acceptance of their good and bad parts which is the part important thing in a friendship. The more As You Are continued the more I discovered the chorus is the perfect join for all the verses coming together.
The second verse is an emotional one as the past is hard to open up about to many people, however to our friends it is really important to do as they try to understand even if it's a little while after it happened just knowing people are thnationere is so comforting.
The final verse is one where you vow to be there for you that person aka friend whenever they need you.

This Friday (11th August)  will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri  release her latest single, Karaoke. Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. The first verses sees Eleri's soft vocal at the forefront with lyrics that get you thinking of those moments at a gig that you don't think you'll ever get to see takes me back to experiencing Priscilla Block with Eleri last year, oh the memories. The second verse sees the song take another turn of when you feel like things aren't working out but you are determined to learn from the lesson it's given you. EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
