WHY CORRIE MADE AMAZING VIEWING INCLUDING ABI'S CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

Coronation Street this week has been wonderful viewing as it's started to tie all the storylines together in such a way that has had me interested all week. Also, it's been nice to actually sit, and watch the episodes instead of just having it on in the background.

One thing, I have to praise Coronation Street for is the fact that they allowed Sue Devaney, and Michael Le Vell to form a support bubble to allow the scenes to look so much more realistic.

The start of the week saw Ray Crosby make a return to the Cobbles of Weatherfield pretending to be a builder to see Debbie Webster which ultimately ended with him locking her, and her brother, Kevin in the fridge.

However, the moment Abi discovered a contract lying on the floor upon looking around The Bistro for evidence set the storyline in motion a lot more which as a viewer had me excited. And after a quick look leaving around she left despite hearing a little noise, but unaware where it was from as she was on the phone to her son, Seb.

But what I loved about the single thing was Abi Franklin's determination to discover what was going on, upon her discovering that Ray was still alive.

In latest instalment, saw viewers Abi enlist the help of Faye Windass, as her search for Kevin continued as he still hadn't returned home from his camping trip with his son, Jack. The search then went back to The Bistro were Faye got into the work computer, which was unsuccessful giving them information needed, however, Faye did realise that the door of the fridge had fallen off following the discovery of Debbie's handbag in the office leading the ladies to leapt into action. Thank god for Abi's quick thinking of sending Faye for help, and enlisting Craig for help.

Upon, Kevin being placed in the ambulance, he admitted to Abi, who then admits to Craig Tinker that it was indeed Ray who locked then in the fridge leading to them arresting him at the airport as he was trying to escape the country - but is this the last we see of Ray?

At the hospital, Kevin told Abi that he is determined to make amends with his sister, Debbie and have her in his family more - family is everything!

Abi is one character who's growth over the years has been amazing to watch from this fiery, ruthless, unable to look after herself and children to now this caring, lovely, looking forward to her future thanks to Kevin, a supportive group of friends, whilst being determined to never let anyone she cares about down again or going back to her old ways, saw her in last night's episode (Wednesday 17th February) propose to Kevin, whilst he was recovering in hospital. Alongside, this sweet scene Faye and Craig getting back together was an amazing moment.

This Friday (11th August)  will see  Swansea based artist singer-songwriter, Eleri  release her latest single, Karaoke. Karaoke was co written with Vanessa Murray and Katie Buckland, and produced by Tim Prottey/Jones of First Time Flyers. Karaoke  has an upbeat instrumental setting the tone beautifully. The first verses sees Eleri's soft vocal at the forefront with lyrics that get you thinking of those moments at a gig that you don't think you'll ever get to see takes me back to experiencing Priscilla Block with Eleri last year, oh the memories. The second verse sees the song take another turn of when you feel like things aren't working out but you are determined to learn from the lesson it's given you. COMING UP ON EMMERDALE: AMELIA CHRISTENS ESTHER AS CHARITY AND AMY BRING THE DRAMA

EMMERDALE REVIEW - DAN SHOWED HIS VULNERABILITY

Over the past few weeks, Emmerdale viewers have seen a different side of Dan Spencer following his daughter, Amelia's social media ordeal which has allowed for a different side of the character's development to be shown. It's obvious to me and many other viewers that all Dan Spencer has ever wanted to do was protect Amelia, but the way he said some harsh things to her in Tuesday's episode (11th July) saw the vulnerability in both characters. It was during Wednesday's episode (12th July) where Dan said "you have every right to be online" was a moment I caught myself a little emotional over as it reminded me of my own experience once again - it's clear how much Dan cares about his daughter and just wants what's best for her like parents do. The way that parents want their children to hear the truth, sometimes isn't the best way to do but on the other side sometimes it just needs to be said.
