EASTENDERS EPISODE REVIEW - RUBY ALLEN'S TRIAL BEGINS

This week, I have decided to do a series of blogs based on EastEnders' Ruby Allen trial against Matt and Ross who are friends of Martin Fowler from school following what happened to her back in October at his school reunion.
I am a so grateful for Louisa Lytton agreeing to come back for this storyline and tonight saw Ruby feel very scared about what was going to happen but this week will see many different twists and turns are to come - I am sure.

In the first scene, viewers saw a scared and super anxious Ruby Allen sat up on her bed in her flat on the morning of her trial against Ross looking rather down. I felt myself feeling and for Ruby and looking through this from her eyes was an amazing move from the director.
Moments later in the cafe, Jay Brown was in there when Martin walked in where Jay asked after Ruby on her trial day - I am very grateful that Jay is still showing that he cares about her despite everything.

Later it was back to Ruby's flat when her best friend and the only person who's believed her from the start of her ordeal Stacey Fowler arrives leading to Ruby quickly hitting the self destruct button - the one thing that she definitely doesn't need to be doing on a day like this.

Ruby was next seen arriving at court with her solicitor where she goes into a room looking scared about what is going to happen but it's not long before they are greeted by a judge leading to her solicitors explaining to her about the process for the trial day. However, when she listens to her statement in a room from the court its obvious that Ruby is feeling upper scared but it's not until Jay arrives to support her moments later where they chat and with Jay saying to her that What she is doing is really brave! bought a tear to my eye because anyone who is brave enough give evidence in any situation are brave and deserves respect but after that Ruby is seen starting to relax or as much as she can but he quickly leaves after their chat but admits to her that he will be back to support her soon. I really do love that Jay is there for his friend at a time like this but to be honest I just adore Ruby and Jay!

Ruby is then seen re entering the room where her two solicitors are with a massive decision telling them that she wants to give her evidence in front of Ross and Matt in the court room. What an exteremly brave move from Ruby.

The moment Ruby enters the court and stands in the stand and decides to look at Ross and Matt, it hit me how scared and vulnerable she is feeling but I just hope she doesn't break down. But more importantly will Jay show up to support her as she gives her statement?

Tonight's episode has shown us all what an incredible actress Louisa Lytton is and this storyline has raised so much awareness! Another shout out has to go to Matt and Ross' actors Mitchell Hunt and Ossian Luke for their great portrayals during this storyline.
Tonight's EastEnders episode was written by my favourite writers for the show Lauren Klee.
