NEXT WEEK ON CORONATION STREET: LAUREN COMES FACE TO FACE WITH A BLAST FROM HER PAST
During next week's visit to Coronation Street, viewers to the Weatherfield based soap will see Lauren Bolton comes face to face with a familiar face from her past.
The week begins with the doctors telling Lauren Bolton at the hospital that her son, Frankie is doing well and it won't be long until he can be discharged. It's not long until a nurse approaches with a parcel for Frankie where Lauren clocks a prison stamp which leaves her shaken.
However, Lauren decides to visit her dad Reece Bolton in prison, but how will the visit go between the father and daughter? I am really interested to see how these scenes will play out.
Later, Lauren finds Betsy Swain destroying the contents of the florist van as she tries to stop Tracy Barlow approaching, Lauren sets off with Betsy in the van.

In the precinct, Lauren and Betsy look at the smashed up van. As a panicky Lauren admits that she never in fact passed her driving test as a police car pulls up nearby - can Lauren and Betsy talk their way out of this one?
Is anyone else excited for these scenes with Cait Fitton and Sydney Martin working together as well as being interested to see how these characters could possible support one another going forward.
Talking about exploring Betsy and Lauren relationships in these scenes, Sydney Martin commented: “I think they're two characters that have been brought up in two different worlds. Me and Cait Fitton sat down together and said that they're both teenagers, so their needs to be some fun aspect, and we need to remember that they're still babies. Playing on their naivety, but also playing with the fact that they come from two different social upbringings.” Before continuing “It's a very interesting dynamic, almost like an older sister dynamic. Lauren's been through a lot and so has Betsy, so they can lean on each other, and I think over the coming months we see that. It’s a really nice friendship. Me and Cait are obviously friends in real life, so that chemistry's already there and it’s so nice to play that on screen.”
If its anything like the Coronation Street we enjoy this is only the start of the drama.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday's at 8pm on ITV with episodes available from 7am on ITVX.
