New Sin starts with a drumming instrumental which compliments Eleri's vocal range really well as she goes into the first verse. The first verse sees Eleri's crisp and pure vocal at the forefront allowing for the lyrics to come through straight away ain turn allowing for the wonderful story telling to shine through. The chorus of New Sin sees Eleri sharing some rather catchy lyrics that you can hear she is passionate about which gives the song a new life. Love it when an artist is so passionate about what they have written about making the listeners feel many different emotions. The second verse continues Eleri's soft vocal show with the message of the song continuing taking another new turn, love the attention to detail as it heads into the chorus. The fact that Eleri repeats the chorus to send the song showing off her higher vocals is wonderful as she then goes into her slow and softer vocal for the repeating of the chorus once again allowing another side of the song to be shown.
Delete It has a soft sounding instrumental to start which sets the song up wonderfully. The first verse sees Eleri's crisp vocal at the forefront of which sets the tone of the song beautifully as it allows the lyrics there moment to shine which in turn sees another side of Eleri's vocal range. The lyrics throughout Delete It are ones some people will be able to relate too, over the social media side with talking to their partners, and all the mixed messages you can get from the conversations. The attention to detail on this song is brilliant especially leading into the chorus. The chorus features some catchy relatable lyrics that I have to admit, I really enjoy listening too. Eleri's dreamy vocals compliment the song-writing wonderfully. The chorus blends the verses together in such a wonderfully unique way. The second verse of Delete It continues the message within the song wonderfully, and the one that I caught myself relating the most too. I am blown away by the attention to detail throughout Delete It. The bridge of Delete It sees the most poignant lyric of the song being repeated which has so much emotion involved. Delete It ending with the chorus brings the song full circle, and I love it!
Nightclub Floor has a quirky, upbeat instrumental which is gives a wonderful break up to the previous two songs that have been featured. The first verse sees Eleri's soft vocal range allowing for listeners to be drawn into the story telling which you can hear as been written on a personal experience giving a lot of emotion. I adore the attention to detail of that night out feeling. The chorus of Nightclub Floor features some pure and honest moments thanks to the catchy lyrics that had me wanting to sing along despite being unsure of the lyrics. The upbeat instrumental is wonderful. The second verse continues with that moment of realisation of the evening with that person with lyrics that are full of purity. The final verse brings the story to life for one final time ending with Eleri's soft vocal at the forefront once again with the moments of missing that person starting to come through which many people will have gone through in their own lives at some point. The final chorus is of a much softer tone allowing for another side of the song to come through that made me a little emotional, I have to admit. The balance of heartache and happiness in this song is a wonderful blend.
Blank Walls sees Eleri's quirky vocal at the forefront complimented by a piano. The first verse sees Eleri's soft vocals at the forefront allowing for the listeners to hear a little bit of heartache within the lyrics which demonstrates another brilliant side of who Eleri is as an artist! The story telling allows for the listeners to create their own picture based on the lyrics or their own experiences. The chorus of Blank Walls has some of the most pure and honest lyrics that get you thinking - it got me thinking about my own life. The second verse continues with the next part of the journey which had me getting emotional once again, there is something so special and unique about Eleri's vocal that moves me. The attention to detail once again is stunning! The final verse brings another side of the song to life with even more honesty which comes from a little heartache. I adore how the final chorus ends the song in the most beautiful way.
New Sin (acoustic version) allows for the listeners to hear another side of Eleri's vocals once again with a little more attention to detail allows for the lyrics to be heard in a little softer way. The fact that the lyrics are bought to life in a softer way that I needed realise I needed to hear until this version - my favourite version of New Sin.
The fact that New Sin (original) and New Sin (acoustic) both start and end this brilliant EP is fantastic.
