EASTENDERS EPISODE REVIEW - FRIDAY 24TH JANUARY - LOUISE MITCHELL LEAVES WALFORD!

In tonight's episode, viewers saw a rather emotional episode (for a good and bad reason) especially if you are a fan of Ben Mitchell and Callum Highway aka BALLUM like me. However, tonight's episode saw Louise Mitchell and Lisa Fowler leave Walford for their new lives in Portugal with Phil Mitchell also going. Friday's episode was written by Richard Davidson and directed by Chris McGill . In the first scene of the episode featuring Louise Mitchell and Lisa Fowler was when Ben and Phil Mitchell were sat talking altogether around the table in the kitchen as they were all seen talking about their move to Portugal as Louise was determined for her mum to be on her side with the move. Love that Louise said that she had a choice to being involved in the whole Keanu Taylor situation over Christmas. I love The Mitchell family and it's had me realise how much I will miss their scenes when he no longer have them. In the next scene, Ben and Callum Highway were s...

SINGLE REVIEW - FRANKIE DAVIES - ASKING FOR A FRIEND

Tomorrow (Friday 24th January) will see Jersey-born singer-songwriter, Frankie Davies release her brand new single, Asking For A Friend. Asking For A Friend starts with gorgeous guitar instrumental which is just stunning and gives off many happy vibes. I love the honesty of this song right from the start and having heard this song live a few times, I couldn't help but sing along right from the start. Frankie's crisp vocals, I have to admit gives the song so much vulnerable and honesty, making me feel a little emotional. The chorus is one of my favourite parts of the songs thanks to the catchiness of the lyrics and melody. The questions asked within the chorus got me thinking and relatable realising that the way I am feeling at the moment is ok and all the questions we have are ok to have and be asking. The second verse continues Asking For A Friend in the most beautiful and relatable way if I have ever heard one giving me goosebumps. The bridge of Asking For A Friend for...

GIG REVIEW - SARAH WATSON - O2 ACADEMY, ISLINGTON

Image
On Saturday (18th January), I had the opportunity to go to Loud In London Presents at The O2 Academy, Islington and the opening act for the evening was Sarah Watson . Photo Taken by Me Sarah started the wonderful evening off with So Damn Done in the most fabulous way with her super rocky, meaningful lyrics which Sarah continued with the next 2 songs - Try Anything and Your Truth along with the catchiness of the lyrics and Sarah's incredible song-writing definitely showed through on Saturday. It amazed me how last night was Sarah's first gig with her full band. The third song was called NaĂŻve which was written in Nashville and one that showcased her vulnerability as the audience listened. I was absolutely blown away by Sarah's vocals and I caught myself a times with tears in my eyes. My WOW moment of the whole evening. You Did It is a song about memories you created with that certain person but they are your memories also. You Did It...

ALBUM REVIEW - DUSTIN LYNCH - TULLAHOMA

Tomorrow (Friday 17th January) will see US singer-songwriter, Dustin Lynch release his brand new album, Tullahoma. Tullahoma is made up of 11 songs. Momma's House starts with an guitar instrumental which I love giving the listeners a real feel for the album and what's coming. The first verse features a real husky voice from Dustin which I absolutely adore giving you a proper country feel for the song within the first couple of lines. The chorus is one of my favourite parts of the song as it allows the listeners to get a proper feel for the song giving everyone the chance to listen to the songwriter in Dustin. The heartfelt lyrics are ones that got me a little emotional at times. The second verse continues the storytelling within the song in such a wonderful way as it's the part of the song about that time in a relationship where you took your girl/ boy out giving you a real proper feel for the song which I adored. I adored the softer vocal range from Dustin on the final...

SINGLE REVIEW - GABBY BARRETT - HALL OF FAME

Today (Friday 10th January) will see US singer-songwriter,  Gabby Barrett release her brand new single, Hall of Fame which I have to admit is one wonderfully catchy song. Gabby is one artist I am very excited about seeing in March whilst she is in the UK for C2C. Hall of Fame has a guitar instrumental to start which gives the song a wonderful start before the first verse kicks in. The first verse is one about a relationship and having that one special person in your life who is your safety net but also the love of your life and there is something so endearing about these lyrics. The chorus is the part of the song which is so beautifully honest and written from the heart about her husband, Cade. The lyrics are ones that a so special to Gabby and ones that will resonate with many other listeners about love. Gabby's vocal tone within this part of the song is a little emotional allowing her to demonstrate what an amazing artist she really is! The sec...

ALBUM REVIEW - TENILLE ARTS - LOVE, HEARTBREAK, & EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN

This Friday (10th January) will see Canadian singer-songwriter,  Tenille Arts release her latest album, Love, Heartbreak, & Everything in Between. Love, Heartbreak, & Everything in Between features 12 songs all of which were written by Tenille along with some being co-written too. Somebody Like That starts with a guitar instrumental giving off wonderful country vibes from the very start of the song which I absoultely adore! The first verse instantly showcases Tenille's incredible vocal range with her softer and emotional tones throughout, her incredible song-writing ability especially with her vulnerability which is just amazing to hear - singers who wear their heart on their sleeves are one in a million. The lyrics throughout Somebody Like That are so honest and written from the heart which you can tell by the way Tenille sings them. The chorus is such a fun and upbeat one that I couldn't help but try and sing ...

10 SONGS THAT BUILT ME DURING THE LAST DECADE

As today is the last day of the year and decade, I thought I would share the songs that have built me over the past decade from Country Music and other genres especially musicals. Back in March 2010, Miranda Lambert released one of my favourite songs that she has ever released and one that inspires me every day. The House That Built Me is one song that I instantly can hear on the radio and brings back a lot of memories of my childhood along with the lyrics. You can listen to The House That Built Me here . 2013 was the year, I first discovered The Shires and it's been wonderful to see their growth within the UK Country Music scene up until today. Brave was a song for me that has bought me a lot of strength and one that I still play whenever I am struggling. You can listen to Brave here . Laura Oakes is a Liverpool born, Country Singer/ Song-writer who I first discovered back in 2015 and I saw her live in the December at an intimate show in Milton Keynes and my ...

EASTENDERS EPISODE REVIEW - CHRISTMAS DAY IN WALFORD - THE BIG REVEAL - PHIL & LOUISE KNOW THE TRUTH

MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone reading this and I hope you all have had an amazing day surrounded by your family and friends. A couple of weeks ago, Letitia Dean admitted  in an interview that the Christmas Day episode has a lot of twists and turns that even she didn't see coming which for me makes me really excited which makes me really excited. Everyone knows how dramatic an EastEnders Christmas Day Episode is for all us viewers but this year's in particular is set to be more emotional and heart-wrenching than ever but  only time will tell as we all sit down and watch the episode. I n tonight's episode, viewers Phil Mitchell reveal to his wife, Sharon that he knows the truth about her affair with his daughter Louise's fiancĂ©, Keanu Taylor who is also the father to her unborn baby. Tonight's episode was written by Pete Lawson and directed by Toby Frow. In the first scene of tonight's Christmas Day episode, viewers saw the camera pan over Albert ...

EASTENDERS EPISODE REVIEW - LISA FOWLER CONFESSING THE TRUTH TO PHIL MITCHELL

It's FINALLY Christmas week and the tensions in Walford are running high and reaching a fever pitch with all the Sharon Mitchell/ Keanu Taylor drama as Phil Mitchell nears closer to the truth this week. Tonight's episode saw Louise Mitchell start to realise that maybe her fiancĂ© was cheating on her after a chat with her brother and father in the cafe. As Phil then started questioning Lisa Fowler. Tonight's episode was written by Lauren Klee and directed by Toby Frow. For me Christmas week, couldn't have started in a better way especially knowing that Lauren Klee is kicking off the dramatic week with one of her wonderful scripts. In the first scene of the episode featuring any of the Mitchells was in the cafe where Louise Mitchell was sat at a table with her father, Phil and brother, Ben where Louise were seen to be telling her family that she has no time for this with her daughter coming home from the hospital tomorrow but ...

INTERVIEW WITH EMILY FAYE ABOUT HER 2019

This week's interview comes from British singer-songwriter,  Emily Faye  who has had a fabulous 2019 with releasing brand new music, and performing on her Write Like A Girl shows. Good Morning, Emily. Thank you for agreeing to this interview with me about your 2019 and what a wonderful year it's been for you! So, lets get straight into the questions, Emily. You started 2019 off by releasing your first single of the year, Sucks To Be You back in April, could you please tell me a little back your experience of releasing the single and what was the reaction like? It was great fun releasing Sucks To Be You as the first single. I wanted to share my new music and developing sound with a bit of an impact and felt ‘Sucks to be you’ was a great way to do that. Then a few weeks later, you released your next single, A Little Bit Of You  which was a duet with your good friend, Jake Morrell, what was they experience...

JACQUELINE JOSSA IS QUEEN OF THE JUNGLE

Last night saw Ex-EastEnders actress, Jacqueline Jossa crowned The QUEEN of the Jungle on ITV Show, I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here... I have supported Jacqueline since her journey began on EastEnders back in 2010 and I am so glad the I'm A Celeb audience got to see the incredibly caring and wonderful human that is Jacqueline. The following that Jacqueline has gained whilst doing I'm A Celeb has been wonderful to see especially when you know that everything the audience have seen is exactly what Jacqueline is like. All of the trials Jacqueline had to do showed the audience what a brave woman she is. I loved the fact that Jacqueline wasn't afraid to fangirl over being in the jungle with Caitlyn Jenner knowing how much of a Kardashian fan she is. Caitlyn and Jacqueline's friendship was beautiful to watch because they genuinely seemed to care about each other. I remember the first episode of this year and being worried that Jacqueline was going t...

EASTENDERS MY TOP 10 FAVOURITE SCENES FROM TILLY KEEPER AS LOUISE MITCHELL

With the announcement on Tuesday (3rd December) that EastEnders actress, Tilly Keeper is leaving her role as Louise Mitchell. I am very sad by this news but I have decided to bring you my favourite TOP 10 scenes.  EastEnders viewers have seen Louise Mitchell go through so many struggles over the time, Tilly has played the character. 1. I'm Your Dad! I really struggled to chose a favourite scene with this scene from Tilly as Louise because this scene and the second one. However, back in January 2016 when EastEnders viewers first got to meet Tilly as Louise was when she was in the school hall moving the gym mats around when Phil walked in, in a drunken state where Louise was shocked to hear someone calling her name and when she turned around it was in fact her father, it was the facial expression from Tilly that got me. This scene for me was full of a lot of emotion and hate between the characters because you could really see that the characters ...

EASTENDERS EPISODE REVIEW - LOUISE MITCHELL LIFE CHANGES...

In last night's EastEnders episode, viewers saw Louise Mitchell go into labour all alone as she went to look for her mum, Lisa Fowler who Louise believes is having a mental breakdown who discovered from Jack Branning that she had actually checked her in. Back in April, EastEnders viewers discovered that Louise Mitchell was pregnant with then on/ off boyfriend, Keanu Taylor who lets be honest hasn't been entirely with his now fiancĂ©e, has he? Because Louise's step-mum Sharon Mitchell is also expecting Keanu's baby - which isn't known to any of the Mitchells however, over recent weeks viewers saw Lisa Fowler blurt out to Phil Mitchell that he isn't the father of Sharon's baby despite her telling him it was his thanks to something deceased Mel Owen said. Tonight's episode was written by Jonny O'Neill and directed by Laurence Wilson . In the first scene of the episode, viewers saw parents-to-be, Louise Mitchell and Keanu Taylor about to...
