During tonight's visit to Hollyoaks (Wednesday 29th October), viewers saw Rita Simons last scenes air on E4 as Marie moves to Brookside Close following the tease in last Wednesday's anniversary episode (22nd October). During Hollyoaks 30th birthday episodes in the midst of destruction, Tony Hutchinson discovered that Marie had been faking her pregnancy, and this week she was forced to come clean to her friend, Diane Hutchinson. In tonight's episode, Marie came clean to son Arlo about faking her pregnancy, but in distressing turn of events lies to her son that Cleo McQueen agreed to give them her newborn baby. Outside of the hospital, believing it's all above board, Arlo tells Diane that they're here to pick up Cleo's baby. Meanwhile, sneaking in under the fake name of Sienna Blake, Marie finds herself in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. During last week's visit to Emmerdale, viewers to the Yorkshire based soap saw Robert Sugden choose his husband, Kev after he suffered a heart attack.  As a Robron fan, this was a disappointing moving leading to me thinking that there is more too it that we as viewers are yet to discover. With Kev determined to end his feud with Aaron, Robert becomes concerned about what this could entail. Aaron is angry about Kev threatening him and warns Robert to handle it or he will sort Kev himself. Later, Kev proposes a vow renewal service to Robert leaving Aaron disgusted when he finds out Robert accepted.  Who can blame Aaron for being annoyed, we all know how much he loves Robert and I can't see that changing anytime soon. Over the past two weeks,  Hollyoaks have absolutely smashed the 30th celebrations within their episodes with the return of old faces in the form of Carol Groves played by Natalie Casey, Rory 'Finn' Finnigan played by James Redmond bringing the nostalgia was brilliant, Zoe Carpenter played by Zoe Lister, but the return of Dom Pickard played by Nick Pickard aka Tony Hutchinson's real-life brother for Tony and Diane's wedding being kept a secret was great. It was brilliant to see how the show's current storylines interlinked with the anniversary making it a true celebration for the show's 30 years! Also, it was good to see Tom Cunningham and Jack Osborne involved with the original characters. This Thursday, Hollyoaks will celebrate 30 years having first aired on 23rd October, 1995 on Channel 4 after being created by Phil Redmond. Throughout the shows 30 years the soap has aired some fantastic storylines that have raised awareness something that I think soaps do brilliantly delivering those hard-hitting storylines that many viewers wouldn't know about hence why I think the soaps are brilliant to have on our screens for raising awareness. As a viewer who grew up with The Barnes and The Hunter Family as well as many of the classic characters from Tony Hutchinson, Max and OB, and Steph Cunningham. However, as time has gone on Hollyoaks have given us actors that have gone on to great things including Natalie Casey, Emmett J. Scanlan, Roxanne McKee, Nathalie Emmanuel, Gemma Atkinson, Zoe Lister, Emma Rigby to name a few. Liverpool-based soap,  Hollyoaks  last week announced that Leo Cole will be taking on the role of Ro Hutchinson, however, Hollyoaks can now confirm that Brook Debio and Chloe Atkinson will also be joining the Hollyoaks cast taking over the roles of Ant and Dee Dee Hutchinson. Chloe, Leo and Brook will make their Hollyoaks debut on Monday 20th October during Hollyoaks 30th anniversary week as their characters attend the wedding of their parents, Tony and Diane. Last Friday (3rd October), US singer-songwriter,  Gabby Barrett  released her brand-new single, Ain't Supposed To Be which was written by Gabby alongside Jon Nite, Ross Copperman, and Chase McGill. The honesty within the lyrics is beautiful and the journey that both Gabby and Cade's love story took them on. The chorus is stunning and one that displays the many vocal tones of Gabby which makes it even more special, and you can hear how much she connects to the lyrics and it's story-telling. The bridge is so poignant due to Gabby's soft vocal making it my standout moment for the song overall. Earlier this week in Tuesday 30th September's episode of the Walford based soap saw Lauren Branning and Peter Beale marry which I have to admit the drama it bought was brilliant!
